Got mine today. Happy ShadowTiger. Actually I haven't even opened it yet. icon_odd.gif I went to Nintendo World in Manhatten, waited on the line for like twenty minutes or so it felt, and when I went the 2+ hours home, I was hugging the darn bag they give you to my chest all the way home. Oh my god. If that bag were a baby, I'd be a pretty damn good parent if I hadn't suffocated it. ... Whatever. I have a Wii. o_o

Now to learn how to use it! icon_deformed.gif

I'll be sticking to the GCN Controller. I doubt the physics engine will have changed all that much. I think the chaos factor may be reduced, (Except for the insanely colorful stage backgrounds; Geez.) while the fun factor will remain the same. I hope you can still catch items in midair the same way. icon_biggrin.gif

By the way, I don't think anyone *KNOWS* if SSBB Will have online play. I seriously hope to high heaven that it does, or else I'll have gotten my Wii in vain.

Yeah, GCN controller is the best way to go. I don't see how it would be comfortable using a controller meant for motion control without using the motion control at all. icon_shrug.gif

Sometimes, we'd play bo-bomb catch. We'd disable all items except for bo-bombs and set it on very low, play on Final Destination, and when one appeared, we'd play catch. If you miss the catch, you get knocked back and the rule was no recovering or moving. It was pretty fun, because you'd get into 15+ minute showdowns.

It BETTER be online. That's all I'm gonna say. They have the capability, and they should use it at all costs.

We've had Poke-Ball only fights, too. I always seem to get stuck with Goldeen, though. icon_sweat.gif

I still don't see why this isn't pinned. icon_shrug.gif

Anyways, with the return of the bumpers, I see myself challenging friends to Bumper fights with all damage preset to 999%. icon_superevil.gif

I don't see why it's not pinned, either. I mean, it's 16 pages...

Anyway, you are a cruel and sadistic person for making bumper fights with 999% damage. Sick.

I've done it in practice mode on SSB. It's twisted funny. icon_superevil.gif

Recalling the classic stages thing, I wanna see a revamp of the Mushroom Kingdom stage from SSB. icon_smile.gif

What do you mean it's not pinned? It's quite clearly pinned, sayeth I. O will certainly attempt these item fights. Yes I shall.

Perhaps we could make this a general Smash thread though? I doubt we would though, because on their own, they're not QUITE Pinnable for some reason, but together, they are, but it's just more confusing.

.. lol, oh foo. XD

Yay it's pinned! Thanks, ST! icon_biggrin.gif

Another classic stage revamp idea: Saffron City, also from SSB.

YAYZ!! Ebola Zaire started a pinned topic! *hugs self* icon_naughty.gif

ERR I MEAN yes, back to the smashage. Practice mode is BEYOND fun. Nothing beats Warlock punching a poor, defenseless Pichu. icon_superevil.gif

Actually, I have a disdain for Wario. He just seems like another slow, but powerful fighter that has some zany moves. And one that makes him king of the bungholio. icon_deformed.gif

Way to pin this topic, ST!:D
lol I had to haul it uphill both ways in the freezing cold winter to pin it. ... C'mon. icon_blah.gif icon_lol.gif Yeah, sure, .. a topic like this needs as much attention as it can get, so long as rumors aren't started, eh?

Y'know what I think would be *really* nice in a smash game though? A "Programmable" practice bot. It's just like any CPU player in Practice mode, except you can program a movement into them. When the programming is done, they automatically get back to their position they were in when the programming begun, or could be set to a loop, even at risk of falling off the stage. (Okay, so there could be three modes; One with an end, one with an end and a safety Up+B back to the platform or whatever, and one without a safety precaution, going right into the next loop.) Basically, you can go to the start menu and select the player to program. Your view would shift to that CPU, and you'd control them. All actions you do as them while controlling them they'll remember, and will perform onstage while in that mode you select for them. You could do that in Bloody Roar, and it was just awesome. Highly recommended. The bot AI was pitiful to practice against, even on Level 9.
