Got a little further into Bravely Default. It did get a little better though I still don't see any real challenge other than the Nemesis missions. It definitely started out slow.

So for the last few days I've been playing Pokemon Battle Trozei (Pokemon Link Battle outside North America I think). It's alright for a spinoff. I don't mind the repetitive play and it was going fine for awhile. Then came Shaymin.
Seriously for a ridiculously difficult pokemon, why Shaymin? Regardless it takes like 5 minutes to even get to it, assuming you have luck on your side. Once you get to it, what does it do? Attacks immediately and OHKOs you.
Supposedly if you get some pokemon lined up in a specific spot which is extremely unlikely with the way things go and get lucky where it stalls for a partial second, you can get it that way, but ugh, who thought this was a good idea? I can't even say I've seen a boss this stupid in ZC.

My buddy got me Dark Souls 2. It seems more tame than the first one, but it's also harder to just explore. Maybe I'm just not far enough yet to open up the game.

You know that game people say is a 2-D Minecraft ripoff that died when Starbound came out? I just got done building (or attempting to) a Crimson area to safely deal with Ichor Stickers so I can farm tons of Ichor for torches, bullets and most importantly, Flasks of Ichor. I swear half the time their Ichor is nigh impossible to dodge. The fact it hits so hard plus the -20 Defense debuff is guaranteed doesn't help, especially when -20 drops me to nearly wearing no armor at all. Neither does having my area of choice next door to a Spider Nest, although I can at least get extra cash off Poison Staves. Still pretty risky with pre-Hardmode equips, considering the spiders can knock out a third of my max life in one hit. Should have gotten 400 Life before Hardmode, but meh. Thank goodness for catching an Unreal Phoenix Blaster from having it crafted with the Annoying modifier.

Terraria didn't die. In fact I still gravitate toward it more than Starbound. Probably because Starbound is still in beta and not finished, but right now Terraria just has more interesting items, exploration, and bosses. Starbound has really crappy bosses and no real fun or interesting enemy events. People are still clamoring around Starbound and modding it and stuff, waiting for full release, but Terraria's still going strong and still gets the occasional update.

Been playing Terraria for the 1.2 update for a while. Running Mage, I managed to get myself up to full Adamantite with Crystal Storm, Golden Shower and a Magic Dagger as my main weapons and am moments before summoning the Twins. I am really enjoying this update so far, though I seem to have a bit of bad luck considering that I did not get any Living Trees or Pyramids in my world and that Crimson generated right through my Jungle upon entering hardmode, which is rapidly getting corrupted. Apparently, these kinds of world gen issues are quite common, so it is probably the result of hardmode biome gen mechanics needing to be changed to accommodate the new world generation mechanics.
The Golden Shower is the weapon to murder worm-like enemies. Thanks to it's long line of fire, fast fire rate, piercing ability and the ability inflict Ichor, it utterly destroys any worm mobs I encounter from time to time. I use it more than Crystal Storm for that reason. The Magic Dagger has received a massive buff and is now capable of achieving a similar DPS to that of a Megashark plus a drastically reduced reforge price.
Also Pirate Invasions. I fought one and now hate them. Their weapons are way too powerful - The Pirate Crossbower does 70-80 damage to me per arrow and the captains have way too much HP and are really overpowered (but rare)

@TS: I think I should rephrase what I said. I didn't mean to say "Terraria is dead" as much as I meant Terraria's just nowhere as popular as Minecraft and when Starbound's beta came out, Starbound was EVERYWHERE. Perhaps I listen too much to a few people that make idiotic statements, claiming a game is dead just because some 12 year old troll said it was. I won't lie. During the near 2 year time between v1.1.2 and v1.2, I still played the game. In fact, more than Minecraft, mostly because my Minecraft has flickering HUD if I don't have Optifine and the performance set to VSync. That and Minecraft to me I really only play as a creative outlet anymore. What's so fun about punching trees when it's like the 300th world you started from scratch in? At least in Terraria, combat is interesting. Oh and there are NPCs that actually talk, not make grunts and pretty much don't give a crap if you kill them all, steal their crops, vandalize their homes, etc.
Anyway, back on topic, I got a full stack of Ichor now and am preparing to make Ichor Bullets, Golden Shower and plenty of Ichor Torches. Didn't break any altars yet though, so I have no idea what ores I'm going to be going for. All I know is full Crimtine isn't cutting it with the massive damage enemies do to me. I'm a 3-hit KO to Black Recluses and Ichor Stickers can probably down me with 4 blasts of Ichor. I think I should have gotten more than 13 hearts going into HM.
@Orithan: Those pirates are a huge pain early HM. I'm not sure how I would go about dealing with them at your point in the game. The earliest I fought them so far was after the Destroyer. I barricaded one of my doors, grappled above it and opened fire to the other door using Silver Bullets. It may be worthwhile to dig out some kind of ditch to get them trapped in while you throw Grenades down there or attack them with a good AoE attack.

Well, I managed to survive the pirates out of sheer luck in the fact that my arena I built since the fight with the EoC had a small "blind spot" where none of the pirates could shoot me (barring the Captain and his 160 damage bombs which he never fired unless I was within gunning range). From there it was spamming Magic Dagger and abusing it's physics to kill off the pirates, especially when the ranged ones appeared. What helped was that this is also where I placed honey for regen so between Heart Lantern, Campfire, Band of Regeneration and the Honey, I was restoring HP quickly whenever I dashed out to pick out some of the pirates that I had trouble hitting with the dagger.

Picked up Deception IV today. I have never played the series. This is gonna be interesting. From what I have read, this game revolves around setting traps and you try to torture the enemy as much as you can from them.

My boyfriend and I recently picked up Pokemon Black and White, and we've also been playing Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles. It's been awhile since I've played so many video games!

Well, went to farm Ichor again and what happens? Bam, 75 damage and Ichor'd. It appears my Ichor Sticker farm room doesn't really work how I thought it would. Man, I hate those guys so much. They're damn near impossible to evade because their Ichor shot is so fast. That and I got hit by it for a good 90 damage after getting hit by it the first time, resetting the 15s debuff. I think it's time I get the better ores unlocked; what I have now is nowhere close to enough. Had a few close calls, but then again, at 260 HP when enemies do 50-100 damage a pop, getting hit once is panic mode.

First impressions about Deception IV.
You torture enemies...just for fun! ![]()
There are very creative ways to torture enemies in this game. I ended up experimenting with several different combos. The traps are pretty cool and some are just so funny. Hey Dan and DC, this might be another great Vita game.

Beat the Twins, crafted a Rainbow Rod then got myself the Clentaminator get rid of the Crimson that was threatening my Jungle. In the process, I decided to begin exploring it and nabbed myself a few Life Fruits and an Unreal Uzi from an Angry Trapper (yes, this dropped on it's own. No reforging whatsoever).
As for the Twins, I got them on my first attempt on this world though not without teleporting to the Nurse to heal up several times to nearly being killed by Spazamatism. Once Spazamatism was gone, Retinazer ended up being a piece of cake. Glad that they were nerfed.
As for the Jungle, it is definitely a good challenge. The Moss Hornets are actually threatening, and can easily swarm you if you are not careful while the Angry Trappers are good for putting pressure on you. The tortoises, while dealing heavy damage per hit, turned up to be easier than I thought with the Rainbow Rod.
