Well, I'm attempting to play two main games right now. During the day, I'm playing Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Considering the main way I'm taking down guards is through neck-breaking, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue playing it in front of the little kids. (The fact that I walked by Alex earlier today and saw him sitting perfectly still with a small box over his head was pretty funny. Considering he has a bad habit of imitating games and anime, I think I should play MGS more often if it means he'll behave when given a box now.) I just finished the torture sequence without surrendering, and I'm having to work my way back to the communications tower. At least I got to pick up the goodies I missed the first time, like the Thermal Goggles and Gas Mask.
During the night, I'm trying to play F.E.A.R. for the first time. I'm no good at FPS games at all, and I happened to have a copy of the game from a Humble Bundle sale (It came with the Batman games), so I'm trying to teach myself to some FPS skills so I can get into the genre. There's so many of them, and several of them look somewhat interesting, so I'd like to see what the main appeal is. If I'm going to be a decent game developer, I've got to learn more about the different major genres and what works/doesn't work well with them.
However, since my only computer at the moment is a laptop with a touchpad, I'm trying to figure out a decent way to map the controls to my gamepad. I finally got around to downloading XPadder, since the default binding option is very poorly done, and trying to get it set up the same way the console versions of the game are set up. I know most people say that the only way to play these are with a mouse/keyboard, but I simply don't have that option. FPS games seem to do well on consoles, so a gamepad can't be THAT bad of a way to play it. Besides, this way I can play console FPS games just as easily.

On a completely unrelated note, I just got myself a cup of "coffee" for the night. It's something called "Teecino" that I found laying around. Tastes like drinkable trail mix. I guess it's not bad, if you like trail mix.
