I think most of the reason people are "closet bronies" is simply because they go to school, where you have to see the same people every day. And people in school are absolute dicks.

Hit the nail right on the head there. For me, at least.

Lol, I enjoyed it, But I'm a big fan of rambling...

As for me, My sister and a couple of my internet friends know I'm a Brony, my sister doesn't really care, same for my other internet friend, but now my other internet friend wont stop calling me queer (Which is really stupid because right after I told him I watched that show he called me a f*ggot, and then like 30 seconds afterwards [He was Playing oblivion at the time] He said: "Whoa, this guy has horns, I wonder if I can take all his clothes off")

Also one of my real life friends MIGHT know I'm a brony, I've implied it, but a lot of times when I referred to the show I would start the sentence with "I read on TVtropes" or "I saw on youtube" or "I saw this on the PureZC Forums"
... K I'm done

I really don't see how people can think watching MLP makes someone gay. I mean seriously, just because someone likes a show made for little girls about ponies, that makes them attracted to men? What the hell kind of logic is that?! Oh, but I have found a brilliant counter argument to that homophobic stupidity. Lemme just find that image...Ah, here we go.

Warning: Slightly NSFW. Nothing inappropriate, but I don't reccomend opening if there are people around.

Oh you guys, I'm very open about being the show.

How can one person be an entire show? REVEAL YOUR SECRETS.

I find this recent interaction between Vinyl and Banjo to be very amusing....

Also...almost all my friends IRL know about it, and most of them either 1) proceed as usual and disregard the fact that I watch it, or 2) Poke fun at the fact that I watch it to show that they're okay with it.

*strokes imaginary beard* Hmm, I do say, the wording of your first sentence in this particular post appears to be very specifically worded, as though you were trying to imply something. Would there happen to be any reason for that, good sir? /randomgentleman

I have one foot in the Brony closet, and one foot out. My mom knows, but I would never watch the show while she is around. On the other hand, most of my friends know that I f***ing love this show, but I don't dare to talk about it overmuch while around them. Ironically, the only person who laughs at me for it happens to be gay, but I'm certain I can convert him.

It's not like I have to come out of the brony closet; It just makes things easier when I don't have to feel awkward about it.

That is certainly understandable. The impassive resistance I get from most of my friends when I talk about the show is somewhat of a social saviour, however unfavourable. I still feel awkward about liking the show, and I never want to walk around flaunting brony pride everywhere (not out of embarrassment, but rather a general disdain for the concept), but I do wish I were man enough to end the feeling altogether.

Even though my sister knows I watch the show, I never watch it in front of her, unless she wont leave the room I'm in, in which case I just turn my chair to block her from the screen

I'll watch it in a room with other people if I have headphones. Actually, I don't think I've ever watched an episode without headphones.

If my family knew I watched this, I think I'd probably still do what I do now: copy the url, and close FireFox any time someone's about to come into my room. (And due to paranoia, often close FireFox just because someone is coming upstairs.)

Also, unrelated to the current topic, but does anyone know where I could download the episodes onto my computer? Just in case Hasbro starts taking down YouTube uploads again.

It's not Hasbro that's taking down episodes. It's trolls and neigh-sayers that flag the videos.

Hasbro doesn't officially care because the show is essentially a 22-minute commercial.

Aye, that I do young laddie.
But I fear I cannot tell ye.
However, what clues I posses,
I shall give with no repress:
It may partake in the docking of ships,
Sturdy ships, to encounter no flips;
Tales of old have certainly told
That it was the seafarer's make that was so bold.
For it could survive torrent upon torrent
Of crushing wave, yet show no rent
In the hull of the ship, no document could dislodge;
Located in the heart of a land capable of a dodge.

It also ends with ".org"
