I finally figured out what the minimaps should look like in my quest. As you can see, it's nothing special, but the "boundary" gives hints on how big the dungeon could end being. Any empty orange space is where rooms on other floors can potentially be. Maps will be a common item in the quest, and will be found in dungeons and overworld areas. On a related note, I decided to ditch the compass as it seems pretty useless. I was planning to have the "tone" feature like in the Gameboy Zelda games built in with the compass. But even with that, I saw the compass as useless. But like I mentioned before, maps aren't restricted in dungeons anymore. You need to find overworld maps too!
(Now to tediously draw custom minimaps. ;-; )

I really like that Twilight Princess approach on maps. I always thought that was a neat idea, so I'm pretty happy to see it done on ZC ![]()
As for me, I haven't got back to working on Link's Quest for Portugal yet, however, I've started thinking about making a Mega Man style quest, which kinda emulates the classic Mega Man games, though the problem with that would be that sideview's kinda buggy, but I'll see what I can do.
However, this is just an idea right now, when I get Link's Quest for Portugal completed, I'll see if I might start it or not.

The overworld maps in my quest need to be bought as well, and are drawn in such a way that the map button should never be needed.

So I decided to go ahead and actually make that Mega Man quest idea a thing. The name for this quest will be "Mega Man: Link Version", and will basically take the classic series with a Zelda skin (classic set yo) and some Zelda elements. I thought of some ways to overcome sideview issues so I'm hoping this will be pretty good.
I should finish this soon since Mega Man games are never too long. Right now though, I need to finish the stage select area and start work on the stages themselves.

More progress has been made, obviously judging by this screen. Floor 2 is almost done, however, some other rooms bare nothing but walls and flooring and severely need detail and whatnot. Hell, no enemies have been added yet! I want to focus on the flow of the dungeon first. Since this is just an intro dungeon, it is pretty straight forward and basic, but you could end up taking a wrong turn here and there. Above is a mini-boss, to the right are stairs to floor 1. However, the shortcut is not for the sake of potential death, but rather something much more later on in the game. ![]()

Sounds really nice! I like what you have so far ![]()
As for me, in addition to post #2332, I've finished one of the 8 "enemy master" stages, Pols Man.

I made a boring village with a boring shop and a boring statue. It doesn't even shoot a million fireballs or anything.

I've done a LOT today for my "Mega Man" quest.
The stages and bosses for Ghini Man, Whizz Man and Like Man are all completed. All is left is to test Like Man and then make Goriya Man, Moblin Man, Darknut Man, Zol Man and then the Ganon Stages.
