Completed Pokemon X earlier this week, however I'm still doing post-game stuff. Because I can :D

No longer going to be playing FFX International due to the fact the DVD is now broke in two, and the reason for that is there is no way to even beat the dark aeons and Omega ruins is just too damn stupid for me to get through I got to ultima weapon and beat it and decided to head back to save the game, and I hit a Marlboro and it ambushed and used Bad breath and we all died a a stupid long death that is impossible to escape.

So I said f**k it and rip that damn game out of my ps2 and broke it. SO no more FFX:IE to worry about.

Anyways, enjoying Super Mario 3D Land.

Super Mario 3D land is beaten... Wait its not and now Luigi has been kidnapped!? Now that's a twist. Well anyways this is a alright game but getting those star coins is just tiring <.<... Oh well it does add more to the game.

I finally beat Danganronpa. Boy the ending was awesome and unexpected at the same time. The plot in this game is beastly especially if you are a fan of the 999 and Virtue's Last Reward. It will keep you guessing all the way to the end. Trust me, you really want to see it through to uncover the truth. The gameplay is also pretty sweet. The gameplay as a whole revolves around solving mysteries and building character relationships. If you like Trauma Team's forensics missions then you are probably going to like the gameplay here. You gather clues which turns into a Truth Bullet and you use it as part of your arguments in Class Trials. Building character relationships is similar to the Persona series' Social Link system. As you build character relationships, you earn new abilities which you use during Class trials. I found each character to be unique and interesting in their own way. Overall, a fantastic game. I can't wait for the sequel to come out very soon.

FINAL SCORE: 5/5

Taking a break from Super Mario Land 3D. I've been trying to think of some other game to play but I can think of any... I don't know what I'm in the mood play.

Yes, it adds forced longevity. I keep meaning to write up a rant about this stuff but it keeps slipping my mind...

So, last week a group of friends and I finally got Pokemon!!! ...

Black and White.

Yeah, we're a little behind, but we want to play the games in order. We'll probably skip Black and White 2 and move on to X and Y when we've tapped these ones out. But we'll have to buy another 3DS (or a 2DS) before that can happen.

So honestly, I wouldn't skip Black/White 2. I enjoyed them much more than X/Y, even with them trotting through old territory. And the PWT is tons of fun.

As for myself, I downloaded Bravely Default's demo... and wow. Very first encounter wiped me. I'm remembering why I don't like JRPGs now. As cool as the job system and stuff seems... I dunno, battle system is pretty generic turn-based bleh. I don't think it's a game I'd really enjoy a lot, honestly. Oh well.

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies came out over here today (took them long enough, it's been out for four months in Europe), so I'll probably pick that up over the weekend sometime.

So I've been getting through Pokemon White 2.

I got 8 badges and I guess I have to head off to face the Elite 4 soon. I was going for a team of 5 Eeveelutions and just learned I can't evolve two of them into Leafeon or Glaceon pre-Elite 4 which is complete BS on Gamefreak's part. Why should any pokemon be unable to evolve before the Elite 4? Essentially, I wasted time bringing two Eevees with me that'll never be useful. Why do all those towns need to be post E4? I'm not even really gonna do much once I beat the E4, since this is primarily so I can get my pokemon from D/P/Pl to XY before the free trial ends with Pokemon Bank.

"Well, why don't you get someone who has the game and trade them there, evolve and trade them back?" - My internet isn't compatible with my DS system now for some reason. It's more lovely service from Comcast as per usual. My DS games won't connect even through my 3DS. 3DS connects fine with its games and internet still. Must be DS systems weren't built for trash quality internet.

On another note, I get a Zelda feel with some of these tracks in this game. Not sure if anyone else did. Overall, the game is a bit better than XY I'd say with content, just I really dislike Gen 5's pokemon still. I can't imagine playing this without the older pokemon being around. Looks like my Flareon, Espeon and Vaporeon will just have to take on the entire E4 then. Gonna need a bunch of Revives too at this rate.

You could just get another router and set the encryption to WEP.  I wouldn't recommend getting a router through Comcast (though consumer routers are generally crap, I haven't had a problem with my netgear.)

This is what I'm playing...

It's been about 6 years since I did my last full playthrough of this game. It's great to play this again in HD.

The demo is actually a terrible representation of what the game is.  The demo has a lot of issues, such as thrusting you in a couple hours into the game, but at Level 1 with little equipment and no job levels- and a lot of the stuff that happens in the demo is stuff that doesn't go on in the real game, so basically false advertising.  From what I've heard, you should pretty much ignore the demo...

Considering the internet is going away soon for DS games and I'm kinda broke still, I'll probably just have to pass.

On another note, are the Pokeballs MUCH weaker in Gen 5? Like I can't seem to catch anything even with Dusk Balls at night.

Huh... Okay then. Maybe I'll give the real game a chance, but I dunno. I'm not a big fan of JRPGs anyways; generally there are just a few that really grab me, and this one doesn't seem to. Issues or not with the demo, the battle system's just kinda... really basic.

I've been playing through all the different Sonic game demos at this year's SAGE event, and they're mostly really good. A few cool 3D games this time around.

I've also been playing a lot of Arkham City, now that I've finished Asylum. I've never played this one before, and I'm a bit surprised with it. You see, I had to set everything to minimal on Asylum in order to play it, and still had a bit of general lag (still tolerable, so not too bad), with a massive lag spike during the second Scarecrow encounter that would have rendered the game unplayable if it had been anywhere other than that long hallway. (probably because of the long distance that had to be drawn to the screen, on top of the rain effects. I was running three frames a second, there.)

While playing Arkham City, the graphics look roughly the same as the previous game, but the game actually ran a bit faster, even with the open-world outdoors areas. I was actually able to turn on anti-aliasing (on the lowest-level, though) as well as the dynamic shadows (again, lowest level) before getting the same lag I got in the first game. Still, considering the amount of lag was still tolerable, I was rather happy with it.

Arkham City came out in 2011, while Arkham Asylum came out (I think) in 2009. Why on earth would a game that's two years newer run better than its predecessor on the same computer? You would think that the newer game would have slightly higher system requirements in order to run. (Which reminds me, the System Requirements Lab website is absolutely useless. They tried to tell me that neither game could possibly run on this laptop, and "helpfully" provided links to buy more RAM and a video card.)
