Oh thank god, I'm not the only closet brony. I have told no-one I know IRL. In a few cases, I've no real reason to not tell them, I just also have no real reason to tell them. I mean, nothing bad would come of my brother or my mum finding out. (well, my mum would make fun of me a little, and my brother would probably hate me a little more, but I don't give a damn) My dad would probably mock me a lot for it, but I don't care what he thinks. I'm not sure how any of my other relatives would react. However, if any of my friends at school find out, well, to put it simply, I am f***ed. Everyone would mock me, and a lot of people wouldn't be my friends anymore. There is a chance that I am exaggerating and being a pessimist and that no-one would actually fall out with me because of it, but I'm not willing to take that risk. Because Scottish people aren't very...open-minded when it comes to this kind of stuff. It's made worse by the fact that they could very easily find out. Well, I say they could very easily find out, but it's highly unlikely that they actually would. The method is easy, but the chances of them accidentally using the method are very low. Seriously, all they'd have to do is google "Banjo7J", the top result is my FiMFiction account page. For some reason. (And you might be thinking "Why the hell would they google that?" but a couple people do actually know that that is my username for basically everything.)
Also, just a tip for any closet bronies, if you're talking to someone who you don't want them to know that you're a brony, the worst thing you can do is mention MLP without actually mentioning that it's MLP. (For example, mentioning "a show that I'm a fan of" when said show is MLP.) Seriously, I done that once, the person I was talking to would not stop asking me what show I was talking about. I had to think of a bunch of excuses for why I wasn't telling him, which I am horrible at.
EDIT:I need to stop rambling so much.
