I like it how it used to be.

Hmm, a bit of it all the overall thing?

Also, Moo2wo it looks great may I ask is there a reason for the grey block at the bottom corner to be there?

Edited: Added rocks and trees, I personally think it looks better.

Honestly? The whole screen is repetitive. Bland, boring, uninteresting. Put some more effort into your screens. icon_shrug.gif

It's all red, that's not grass. Silly icon_razz.gif

? did i do something wrong. you didn't explain much.

You basicly use 1 - oddly coloured - vine tile on all the bricks making it completely repetitive.

NO! your absolutely wrong in my opinion its a great tileset! honestly i don't see why dungeons have to be super spectacular in graphics. I know they shouldn't be dull but saying my screens are dull does help me. at least give me tips on how to improve them instead just saying they are dull. I will not drop it.

How is his opinion wrong? O_o

We're not asking for super spectacular graphics we're asking for good screen design... There is a difference you know, right?

We're not asking much just fix the key issues we pointed out. icon_confused.gif

Nightmeres:
I think the major problem you're having with the grass growing on the wall is that it's hard to tell it's there with the very green palette. (The old one I mean. No offence, but I'm not really fond of the new one.) What I would do is have your level palette have two different colours. (Like, one of the CSets from one dungeon and a green one from this one) Make sure the 'main' cset isn't too similar to the grass' colour. What I would do is make them completely different colours.

I did this up real quick, so please excuse me if they're not all that good. I'm more or less trying to show what I'm trying to say as opposed to making something good at the moment. What I'm trying to show is how having two different colours would help the grass (or in my screen, moss) show a little better as opposed to something where the contrast isn't there, making it hard to see it.

I wouldn't recommend going as overboard as I did here with the mossy stuff; I kinda overwrote the original tile for the walls by mistake. ._. It'd be a kind of detail you could use to suggest age. Heck, you could use a similar concept for the background.

For making it seem like it was abandoned, how about some rubble in the foreground/background? Try maybe making the ladders look a little older. If this is a tower, how about some windows to liven the background up?

Well, I hope this makes sense. Hopefully this advice will be of some help to you. icon_smile.gif

EDIT: I should clarify that I was ninja'd many times writing this. XD I was responding to the new screenshot before any changes were said to be made.

Just for comparison, try to do the grass overlay again with the gray background walls. icon_smile.gif I think that'll look pretty good.
