I also got to try the demo at GameStop while I was there! The New 3DS XL is huge!! It'll take time to get used to the new size. In the meantime, I'll probably find a nice decal for my New 3DS XL. I'm giving my brother my old one so he and I can play ACNL and such together.

So, I noticed something weird today. Exactly a year ago from today, I took this screenshot of a question from QuizUp. Majora's Mask 3D comes out in three days. I think I accidentally predicted the release date of MM3D. .__.

Not really. You can stay on the walls with a Clawshot. With a Hookshot, once you reach your destination the Hookshot detaches itself from a wall or object. Also Double Clawshots.

Well, sticking until you let go is really the only thing it has. As Egoraptor put it...
"Double clawshot! So now instead of having to land on a platform before you can awkwardly aim at another clawshot target, you don't HAVE TO land on a platform before you awkwardly aim at another clawshot target."

I think of all the hooks, the Switch Hook was the most innovative. That thing was da bomb. It'd be interesting to see them pull that off in 3D without it being awkward.

...And your point is what? It makes for more timed and well-made puzzles. Also, why are we even talking about the Clawshots in the Majora's Mask 3D thread?

I like how I was trying to simply inform that the Clawshot was its own item and now the thread derailed completely cause the point of my original post was lost. gg
I'm going to bring it back on topic. So in case anyone wants to know all the changes, there's an article regarding them. Spoilers of course.

I've quite liked GameXplain's review on it myself.
I'm not going to lie...it does seem like Nintendo holds the players' hands way too much with some of these changes.

Does anyone know if the beaver races will be changed or even removed due to the change in Zora-Link's swimming?

The review was posted on the last page. ![]()
Although I somehow missed the bit about how it will apparently pop up and tell you exactly where to take the rock sirloin the last time. Oi...
Fishing? Great addition. More in-depth and helpful notebook with alarms? Very handy. More control over time travel? Yes please I love you. Changing Zora swimming mechanics? ... I guess I'll get over it but I don't see why they didn't just make it a second button press to switch between fast and moderate swimming... Bomber's notebook popping up in your face every time you get new info or apparently when you find an item in a sidequest? Incredibly annoying and way too handholdy, please go away. Ice arrow platforms limited to very specific locations? This is unnecessary and way too restrictive and I don't like it one bit.
Now I'm not sure if I'll like it as much as I thought I would. I won't know until I play it, of course, but it boggles me that one moment they claim they wish to remove handholding, and do a fairly good job of it in ALBW, then take so many steps back now with MM3D. The ice arrow change honestly bugs me the most because it actually feels like a big freedom is being taken away, ya know, that thing I like about most Zelda games.
Three more days (pun totally not intended originally but now it is), then I'll find out if I'm just being way too apprehensive.

Well, now that Majora's Mask 3D is so close, Smooth McGroove posted an appropriate acapella. Figured I'd share it. I freaking love it!

Saw this when it came out. I'm happy to hear my favorite song in the game given the Smooth treatment.
