Pink haired Link is only used for really good Zelda games.

*Runs and makes Link's Hair Pink* Okay, so expect to see Pink haired Link in Hylian Legacy >:D

Today's update showcases how the sheet will be arranged.

LinkExperiment_zpse976e79e.png

-Everything is aligned on an 8x8 basis.

-Sectional delimiters for easy traversal, with custom font.

-Vertical-based overall approach, thus the sheet will not gain any additional width, but further height.

Today's update will be split across two days, since I'm going to a cookout today.  Here is the first half; example and showcase.

Example

LinkExperimentBlink_zps80fcec24.gif

-The shield designs, based on the simplistic yet wholesome designs of Legend of Zelda.

-The four-frame animation style of the Idle-Blinking stance.

Showcase

LinkExperiment_zps7b2e3733.png

-The grandeur that this sheet will become; this is just one stance and it already occupies much space.

-Placeholders for tomorrow's update.

-Rearrangement for a compact, yet delimited browsing experience.

-Repeating frames in an animation will be repeated, for simplistic code creation in whatever program, where the horizontal offset is just determined by (frame_number * frame_width).  I.E if an animation style is 1, 2, 1, 3, the layout on the sheet will be expressly so.

Why does the blonde alternative Link have odd miscolourings on his hat?

The brim is made brown so it does not mix with his hair.

But the brown hair Link has no brim on his hat.

It's yellow green, as it is on Link's original design.

It doesn't look right. It looks glitched.

So you're going to a cookout huh? Can I come? I can be your date.

I'm referring to the front facing sprites. Both posts of mine above, to be precise. The brown hair one has no brim at all and the blonde version's brim looks like miscolourings.

The sideview blonde looks like Link is going through a phase.

Overall, great job! :D

But Charizard's right.  In your last post (with graphics, that is), the brown-haired Link has a light green brim, not a yellow one.

Today's update is incomplete...I'm about halfway done with all 8 directions for both variants idling and blinking with the shields.  This is taking longer than I thought, but it doesn't surprise, considering all 8 directions use unique sprites; just flipping the ordinal directions won't work without edits for laterality and a consistent lightsource, for example.

Today's update shows that all the idling and blinking poses are done, for both versions, all shields, and all 8 directions.
