I know they are Hylian ninjas as far as what we have seen from Impa and Sheik, but again, we do no know much about them at all as an entire race, so there's still a possibility. 
My alternative theory is that they have to do with something time-space related.

Watching the Treehouse stream, seems there's at least eight playable characters, but none confirmed so far besides the four we know.
In case you didn't realize, but the Shiekah clan represent the Ninjas in the Zelda universe.
Would that make one of the developers Team Sheikah?

It's sounding like there was a lot they wanted to do besides what's ending up in the final game. Maybe if this game is successful enough, we'll get a sequel with even more content?

Knowing how the Warriors series works, all villains will be unlockable in some way.
meanwhile, Agitha seems interesting. The bug net could definitely be used as a weapon, in reference to how the bug net can be used to deflect shots in ALTTP. I'm not saying somebody should use a bottle as a weapon though, even though that would be beautiful.

A young girl as a fighter in a game would be strange? How many video games have you played?
I meant that she can't be more than 10 years old in Twilight Princess, and if you frequently play games where a 9-year-old girl with an obvious mental problem fighting of hordes of zombies and monsters is normal, then I would honestly like to know the names of them. 
I meant that she should at least be a teenager in this game.

I was actually quite shocked when Agitha was announced. I wonder what kinds of attacks and weapons she'll have? I can imagine them changing her outfit a lot as well, like they did for Zelda. Do you guys think she'll stay in that huge dress of hers? Of course not.

Bear in mind that there hasn't been official confirmation on this yet (that I know of), but I don't see reason to doubt Famitsu. As for Lana, I wonder if she's the girl on the cover?

Now it's confirmed. And Lana is indeed the girl on the cover. She's already theorized to be Nayru or something related, noting "Lanayru" and that the first four letters of that are Lana's name. Makes sense? We shall see.
