Can't say I expected Sonic, but I'm not complaining. I still saw it coming one way or another from all the Sonic games exclusive to Nintendo lately.
Now I just want to see Mewtwo return.

Know who I want to see in SSB4? House, from that doctor show :tard: ... Think about beating the crap out of enemy's with a walking cane...

Oh, okay. :tard:
Also Sonic is back? I assume Snake would come back then too.

I would hope so. (Never played a Metal Gear game, but he was a fun character) I kinda doubt he'll return, though. Metal Gear Solid 5 isn't even on the Wii U...

I'm not really sure if Snake will return or not- I felt kind of like he didn't fit Smash all that well... Despite that, I would like to see his return, even if I don't play as him ever, some of my friends do, so if for anyone, I'd like it for their sake.
Now, if we got Simon Belmont, think of all the outdated Captain N references we could make! That would be mega awesome-icus.

Awesome!
Megaman looks great! The video had an error for me right after he clocked the coins out of Mario with the Metal Blade, so I'm not sure what I missed, but it was cool to see him being included! Now, having Snake in Brawl was super cool, but I say it's even more super cool to have Megaman in the new SSB!
I just saw this today, so forgive me for not reading all 15 pages of posts. (I read the first 3 or so before realizing the #.) Also, please forgive my responding to only earlier posts:
...
Here's hoping they have another story mode...
Don't you know it! I'm certain they wouldn't make another Super Smash Bros without bringing back that popular feature! I'm sure they'll include it. Can't wait to see how!
I think it's clear to say that I was surprised when Villager showed up, but I nearly lost my mind when Mega Man was shown! Whether it be on the 3DS or WiiU, this Smash is looking to be a very awesome one!
Also, Wii Fit Trainer? *shrugs* It's not a bad choice...seems a little filler-ish, but an interesting choice nonetheless.
Well, I never played Animal Crossing, but I'm open to them using new characters as such.
BTW, them including Wii Fit Trainer goes along with them including Mr. Game and Watch and R.O.B. in Brawl. R.O.B. was an old NES accesory, similar to the SuperScope (which was for SNES, though) but with character. And, of course, the hand-held Game & Watch games preceded even the NES, so including Mr. Game & Watch was homage to that. (Game & Watch version of Donkey Kong, FTW!!!) So, Wii Fit Trainer goes along with including characters related to game accessories. She looks pretty sweet, too! (Funny video, BTW! I was wondering if Mario or Link were going to fall down holding that pose!
)
If they put the Wii Fit Trainer in this game, I wouldn't be surprised if they put Mii as a playable character in this game.
I hope they do include Mii's as an optional character! They did that for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games; why not for SSB? Just have certain moves & abilities for any Mii to use. (It might not be fair to allow customization of the moves for the Mii's; just allow their customizable Mii to be a "skin" for one fighting character with set moves.)
... but I think we're all forgetting about someone. Someone that should never be forgotten. Crono.
Chrono FTW! Not sure if they'll do it, but Chrono has my vote.
@Tingle: I'd have to agree with MewTwo. I didn't get to play Melee; it would be nice to wield those psychic Pokemon powers! No offense to Lucario, but he didn't have any projectile/long range attacks. I would imagine Mewtwo would have one or two.
@Scootaloo: Yeah, I agree; I vote for Simon Belmont as well. (As if Nintendo was even taking votes...
)

Actually, they confirmed that there isn't a story mode in this one. That's why it pays to read the whole thread. ![]()

Darn shame too, they would have looked amazing judging if they had used a similar style from the Mega Man trailer.

Aw, come on! It woulda' been awesome! ... Wonder if they figured it was too much hassle the first time, for Brawl. ...

Nah, so what? So I missed a thing or two. I'll read them when I get some time.)

It certainly has major potential to be amazing, but that would most likely mean that the release date would be much later than it is.

It was because of the fact that the internet leaks everything after release and thus there was no point seen in developing it. Or so was the initial point at least.
Also Keiichi, maybe later, but not much later, I don't think. Besides, getting a game done sooner isn't always good. I mean look at Sonic 06 and before anyone gets mad, no. I'm not comparing SSB to Sonic 06. ![]()

I think it is because nintendo got bad reviews for the story mode.

Actually, they didn't. The reason they don't want to do it is because they'll get leaked on the internet and they'll feel like that gives it less appreciation for their work. Which is, FYI, a ridiculously stupid reason. I didn't see most of the cutscenes in Brawl except when I was playing them, and I highly enjoyed all of them. Just because someone did leak them doesn't mean everyone goes out looking for them.

I still think that they lied about their reason and I think their true reason behind no cutscenes is probably to save space on the 3ds cartridge. Of course, I have no evidence, but that's my guess. I mean, like really, that leaker reasoning can't be serious. ![]()

Well, considering the Wii U and 3DS versions have different stages entirely, I'd imagine that they would have easily made a different "story" mode for both versions as well, so I don't think that's the reason. Plus, the 3DS really can do quite a lot, so I don't think that could be the reason.
