Same as in the screenshot topic. Started as the two graveyard screens and I just kept adding stuff.

This is the forest area from Link's Hangover. I was going to submit this to MotM 41, but it's not quite done, and there are still a few graphical quirks. I'm also unsure about keeping the small ALttP trees around. Granted, I'll probably still use them, just not with the other trees cause I don't think they look good together.
Over all, I like this map a lot, and there still about three screens on the east side that need to be done.
The Zegend of Lelda: A Mink to the Lap
EDIT: peteandwalley, that Classic map looks awesome. I like how it is subtly reminiscent of the first Zelda map in some parts. Shiek, I love the graveyard palette. Shane, I like the layout, and love the tall forest grass/ brush, but I never liked those triangular path tiles.

Glad you like my map.
I don't like the path tiles either myself.
Also I really like your map. A little on the crowded side but it works. Also I spy a tree tile error on the top portion and top-right portion of the map. EDIT: Also found an oddly coloured tree at the bottom/ It has a blue outline. ![]()

Thanks
After a few minutes of confusion, I realized that those blue outlines were not from the wrong c-set in ZC, but rather it happened when I cropped the image in paint, and filled the background with a new color. >.> This is most apparent on the small AlttP tree on the left of the south most screen.
Here's an outline of the part of desert desert area. By outline, I mean.. outline.

The mountains have tile error with the sand tiles. The Brown of the sand does not hit the mountains. I think its too empty.

I know, it's very empty. It is an outline of an area, meaning it is just the mountains, and other basic details.
Here is a map from a really really old quest project of mine started back in 2005. I never finished working on it, but I still have it around.

Here is a map of a very old quest (Mystic Land) I was working on back in 2003.

Oh yeah... those screens that are off on their own was nothing more than test screens during the building process. In case you were wondering...

Apologies regarding the first link.
Anyway, I’ve updated it with a new link…

Wow, that's just amazing. For something made 10 years ago, it still holds up really well against (and beats) most of todays maps/screens. The amount of polish that obviously went into making that map is extraordinary. I really love the man-made caves that go into the wall of the mountains. There's a little bit of pillow shading going on with some of the tiles, but that would be pretty easy to remedy. I particularly like the screen with the water-wheel on it, and I'm sure with your current spiriting ability you would be able to improve on the graphics. I'd love to see you return to work on with this, keeping the enhanced/custom Pure tileset graphics. What ever came of the quest?
