For the area around level 9, your assumption is correct.

Use the same item for that tree.

I forgot to mention, but i finished this quest some time ago.

It's an AWESOME quest. Normally i'm not a fan of the classic tileset, but i had so much fun with this quest, i didn't even care about that. The numerous dungeons were fun to explore, the overworld is pretty well put together and not too complicated to navigate, the music choice was interesting for just about every dungeon, and Level 9 threw me for a loop!

Seriously, great job on the quest! It's this quest that made me appreciate the Classic Tileset finally. icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah!! Finally finished your very interesting, creative and marvellous quest, Jamian.

I need 18 hrs and 42 min to complete it, and a lot of deaths ;-)

You are using the ZC 2.5 RC 4 features in a very good way. Was impressed.

See my full review later (would be 4.5 - 5 stars) ;-)

I am in L6. I got the cross and the item needed to activate the statue, and the boss key as well. I cannot for the life of me, however, figure out how to get to the remaining unexplored rooms and where the boss is. Could I get a hint as to where I should go?

Thanks. Had been to that room already but completely forgot about that walk through wall. I've been out of town on a family matter and haven't played in a week.

Finished in just over 15 hours with a few dozen deaths. Really enjoyed how the theme (both look and music) was varied enough to not get boring after 20+ dungeons. I had to read some comments here because I got stuck early on (forgot to bomb a wall to get the blue candle or whistling in that northeast room in the ninja turtle level) but the latter half was very smooth with little road blocks in my way.

I like how instead of pushing a grave etc to find x item there's usually a full dungeon built around getting it. Some of the last levels (9 and 10) probably didn't need a long string of repeated patra 3 or death knights which filled up an entire dungeon map, but it made getting to the end that much more rewarding. I very rarely see those summoner wizzrobes used in quests but it was nice to see them at the end.

I think you could make a good 'challenge' quest, Stranded is probably 1-2 notches below but you paced the items just about right so that it was never too easy.

Thanks icon_smile.gif

I have another quest currently being beta tested, which has the same kind of difficulty as Stranded I think (I'm aiming for "tough but fair" difficulty, providing a good challenge but beatable by any reasonably good zelda player).

Maybe I'll make a "challenge" quest some day though icon_smile.gif In any case I have vowed to never make full dungeon maps again in my future quests.

I'd say yes, but the beta testing is already fairly advanced, and I think I have enough testers to do it properly - so adding another beta tester now would just delay the release.

However, if you want I'll save a beta testing spot for you for the next one icon_smile.gif

Can you remind me which dungeon the shop that sells superbombs is nearby? There are a lot of bomb spots in the mountains that require them. Getting close. Just finished what is L9 and got the book and the red tunic.

The first super bomb shop is near level 7, there is a whistle warp that takes you directly there.

There is also another shop near the end of the game.

Hi. First off, awesome quest! Love the work you put into this. I just finished level 8 so I'm nearly done with this one, but I can't seem to get into the temple at the top of the mountain. I tried everything to open it including regular and super bombs. Am I missing something? Any hints are appreciated, thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

EDIT...Nevermind. I figured it out....the last item I expected. lol

How to I get to the rooms in the upper-left corner of the Master Cave? I can't find a way. I got the main prize from there but the guy said there were three.
