Randomizer with friends again this evening, this time TeamUDF and I think maybe Eppy? So finally returning to friends from the ZC fold instead of these completely random people I've been running with before, who even were they anyway? (I kid they're really great folk)

 

Announcing ahead of time: This weekend, not sure which day, I'm going to be streaming Donkey Kong Country 2 to 102% completion. Never done that before, should be fun. It's a "race" with my companion, but we both know she's gonna handily kick my ass. I just thought it'd be fun to do. You'll all get to laugh at me this weekend!

LATE NIGHT A LINK TO THE PAST RANDOMIZER RIGHT NOW I'M KIDDING.

 

Just wanted to say I have a confirmed start time for the DKC2 stream Saturday, and that's 1PM EST. 102% completion, then afterward possibly the first DKC game; that would just be beating the game, no 101%.

 

There might be randomizer Thursday or Friday if I feel like it, or something else, I might do a Megaman stream at some point in the near-future, we shall see, but stop on by!

Looks like the next three days will be packed. Tomorrow is DKC2 as always, though possibly at a later time, depending on if friends of hers visit. So it may be 1PM EST, it may be later.

 

Sunday evening is more Randomizer shenanigans with TeamUDF and Eppy. Couldn't keep the Randomizer away long, could I?!?!

 

Monday will be two streams. The 21st marks the 25th Anniversary of A Link to the Past, so early in the afternoon I'll be playing a normal casual run of the game. After a several-hour break, I'll be back to stream Randomizer again, with at least Diezal and possibly other participants. So... look forward to a packed next three days, I suppose.

Last night turned out alright except for the part where I had to play Windy Well four times. And then it was six hours long so I gave up on 102% and just beat K. Rool before getting a very late dinner. But I had fun. Might have to finish the 102% on stream at a later point, but for now I'm content to step away for... a long time.

 

Slight change of plans. Tonight is the race with Diezal and possibly others. The race with Team and possibly Eppy is moved to tomorrow, but the casual ALttP stream is still on for early afternoon. Basically schedule is still the same, just with the participants swapped around.

So I beat the two hour mark! ... and the seed name was C8008135. Literally "boobies." I was being immature when creating it admittedly but I was also just really curious what it would yield. And it yielded a 1:57:27 personal best and my first sub two hour run. Despite having to also go into every light world dungeon for at least one necessary item. So... that was pretty good. And here's a good clip of a bizarre moment:

Here's a couple of highlights from the seed I ran today:

 

- First is how awful Desert Palace is. At that point I had done everything possible so I chanced on light world dungeons looking for hookshot and/or ice rod. What followed was the worst possible chest RNG for Desert Palace, as well as no item at all.

- And this little clip of where ice rod ended up. As I rant, it's the second seed in a row where this happened.

Oh I forgot to announce this in last night's post, oops. Well in about two hours, another Randomizer with Eryn's going up, this one a seed requested from a commenter on the last video. He called it slightly problematic; we shall see.

Did a Randomizer tonight and got a 1:52:29 PB, two seconds shy of a full five minutes shaved off the last one. This one was sent to me on Twitter who described the seed as "actually trolly," but... not really, apparently. Sure, I was forced to kill Agahnim because the flute was hidden beneath the lumberjack tree, but otherwise there weren't any problems; didn't even have to touch a light world dungeon! Died twice though, RIP.

Tomorrow afternoon, 2PM EST, Quark and I will be racing the original F-Zero for SNES. All three cups, on Beginner, because we're terrible. Probably a short stream, hopefully, and again, Quark lacks the ability to stream, but should be good.

Remember when Diezal and I were immature and used 8008135 for the seed in Randomizer? Well we're doing it again in the new version to see how that goes, and also Eryn's joining us. That'll happen in about an hour! I expect many a joke. Or no jokes. We'll see.
