I fixed a very mysterious glitch in GM. It's been annihilated. That glitch was no match for DLT! icon_lol.gif

I nearly finished working on the Lake Hylia area in my quest. The reason it took so long is it was incredibly boring to design; I hate having to use more water than grass on each screen. icon_aggravated.gif I can't have many enemies, and so I have to accomodate for that by adding in interesting things to do besides fighting. It should be fun to play in though, so it'll pay off.

Oh, the middle is a WIP I'm still debating what to put in there. Regarding Sheik's map; I was inspired by his work but tried to make it different from his as much as possible. The rest of the dungeon will feel different and hopefully make this area blend in. Either way, the inspiration was used only for this area.

After about 2-3 hours of failed attempts, I have finally beaten the first boss of my new side project, verifying that it IS possible...on easy mode that is...um...mission accomplished?

I just tried...I guess I didn't figure that *DEMO VERSION COMES WITH WATERMARK* means blatant advertising covering the entire screen...damn.

If it took you hours to beat the first boss, I think you should make it just a tad bit easier you know?

Jump through platforms, Ball and Chain Enemy, Burn->Next combos, Sideview Ladder (breaks the rocs feather), and currently working on z3 moldorms and probably will finish that today too. Man I'm on a roll, and it's all thanks to guys like Saffith and Collosal who help me with my scripts. THANK YOU!

I got missile upgrades implemented proper into my Metroid tileset by classifying them as Heart Containers, but with rupees (the ammunition) as a counter reference and a +max of 5. However, I can't say the same for Power Bombs (super bomb). Part of the issue seems to be that they're linked to bombs anyways. I have to have the power bomb upgrade item increase bomb capacity and not super bomb capacity. Not an entirely big deal: after all, A: ordinary bombs come in infinite supply in this tileset, though you can only deploy two at one time, and B: super bomb capacity is proportional to normal bombs.

The problem comes in the fact that while Super bomb capacity is proportional to normal bomb capacity, it cannot be set to spend any kind of ammo other than super bombs. So, when the power bomb upgrade increases bomb capacity (and thus super bomb capacity), it cannot also supply you with super bombs at the same time. Annoying.

PS: making the items Bomb Bags instead of Heart Containers doesn't work. I moved from that idea *to* heart containers to get the desired effect.

Horrible recording, but not a horrible boss! That moving platform is splendid and so is that magic meter. Scripted yourself?

Today I did more mapping in NTCC, I am really on a questmaking roll.

Yeah, sorry about the recording quality. The platform script was made by Schwa, the magic meter automatically fills because I gave link a custom magic ring. The one thing I scripted here was Link's sword which I had to make disappear upon getting below a certain amount of magic. I didn't show what those pits do in the recording because the Gleeok managed to get me before they could. Basically they transport you to one of 4 screens with a funny message and kill you instantly.

Oh, I'm not grumpy at you, I was just grumpy when I posted it because it took like 10 takes before I got a recording in which I didn't majorly screw up and die 3 seconds into the battle. It's the screen recording curse, I tell you.

As for your cropping situation; I use VirtualDub for cropping purposes. While that's a Windows thing, I've read that there are Mac equivalents. Best start by looking for 'VirtualDub Mac' and that should get you going. icon_smile.gif Best of luck!
