You have to beat Claire the 8th Gym Leader to gain access to the dragon's den.

That's too far in the game for me. I'll find something else. Maybe I can trade somebody a Cyndoquil egg for a Chikorita egg and use that...

I don't really like Ampharos. He's WAY too slow. I prefer Electivire even though he's a 4th Gen Pokemon.

If I were going for a 4th gen one, I'd use a Luxray. I'm just trying to stick with the 2nd gen ones, and Ampharos looks like the best bet.

I'm not familiar with too many 4th Gen Pokemon anyway, so it'd all be to a big, empty, void.

I think I might use a scizor for the last one on my team. Just another quick question. How far in the game is the Bug Catching Contest?

Right after Goldenrod City, where the 3rd Gym is.

Alright then, I'll probably go with a Scizor.

I don't know if you can catch one of those there; I've never seen one O.O.

All he'd have to do is get the metal jacket or whatever, and trade? That should be easy, especially on a DS.

Ya. Especially since every one of my friends (including my brother) is getting the game. icon_razz.gif

I don't know why, but I have a dying urge to find out what the Ho oh battle music sounds like on the GB Player. But I can't find it anywhere. icon_frown.gif

I don't think you do. You receive the GB player after you've beaten the game two times. By the time you receive the GB player, you would already caught ho-oh or battled him. Same thing with Lugia i believe.

But i can't wait for the game to arrive in the U.S already. I've been playing Pearl to occupy me until march 2010.

But if you kill them, they respawn after you beat the Elite Four. So technically, you can. Plus, they were originally going to give the item out very early, and before the Ho oh/Lugia event, so it should be in there.

I also can't wait. I've just been goofing around with the other games, checking the swarm in Platinum, playing FireRed again, etc. Why does it take so long to translate? There's one guy at GBAtemp who's translated all the menus and everything up to the first gym already! Why does it take Nintendo so long?

I think it takes long because they have to make A LOT of cartridges. The games did sell out the first two days in Japan. They had to do new shipments to retail stores because they were already sold out. Imagine how many cartridges would they have to make for a worldwide release.

Gamefreak and Nintendo would have to make a lot cartridges before the release of the games so they can be released worldwide.
I am sure the games would probably sell millions. We have no choice but to wait and listen to the wonderful soundtracks. Btw, i already downloaded the entire OST =p
LOL,I will basically receive my license when spring 2010 comes around and that is a looooong way from now.

I would have downloaded the OST, but I'm trying not to listen to all the songs. I want to be surprised. So far, I've only listened to the wild battle, Ho oh, Lugia, and the Tin Tower. I'm a little upset that the Tin Tower GB Player song is still slightly different than it was in G/S/C, but oh well. icon_razz.gif

I have the original, so if I wanted to hear GB, I'd just play my Crystal version icon_shrug.gif

Well, I don't have the original, so this is my only option. icon_razz.gif Plus, you can't hear GB-ified versions of the new songs on crystal, can you? icon_razz.gif
