I believe the man in the house at the northern part of Lake Hylia gives you the key.

I don't remember I had any spare keys when I beat that quest, I think I will speed-play it through again, since it's one of my favorites.

Actually its not but it's One of the Greatest games created along with Lost Isle, Ballad of the Bloodline, NTAeL, Fort Knights. Those are the created games but wait until you see the games getting created like THP, EoA, LoRII, Pearl of Shadow, Mystical Seed of Courage, Ballad of the Bloodline DX, and NTCC and if you think they ain't great then god icon_smile.gif.

I know that you his biggest fan and all but you got to love the others games to you know? Hope you don't take as an insult or Offense Pineconn and PineconnFan. ~Midnight_King

Level 7 in this game is phenominal! Level 9 is alright too! I beat the game in 12 hours and spent about 3 in level 7.

Its not about shiny graphics or how many things you can put in 1 screen. Its about balance. Link to the heavens is a difficult map but it is balanced. Its fun, not torture like many other quests with no balance whatsoever. Many designers miss that point all together, they either make it too easy or too hard. For example making the player go through a dungeon without a magic shield but with tons of fire balls shooting from every corner. Thats not good hard, thats a flaw in the balance. Balance is when you have the means of protecting yourself in a hard environment.

Link to the heavens is by far the best quest there is.

I was playing this the other day and came across this room:

Is there any trick to doing this, or do you just have to turn away every time a fireball gets close to you?

Okay when in the world did a say graphics or screen design I am positive that I didn't say that I might need to check hm nah I didn't say that and I am assuming you haven't seen the quests I mentioned? These have great gameplay like this quest. I am in the making of a 4 colour quest that uses GB graphics its not the flashiest but its simple to use and great to make gameplay now then lets end this off topicness that I'm making and get back on track.

Nah, you just have to take the hit (or perform some fancy footwork) to prevent yourself from reflecting the fireballs. Oh, and don't you know that I'm far more active on AGN? You'd get a quicker response there most of the time.

Hi. Sorry for digging up an older thread, but I need help. I feel like a noob.
I'm stuck in the first dungeon. I've gotten the arrow, but I can't find the bow. I've checked every room for bomb walls and such, but I feel like I can't advance without the bow. Someone please help?

Never mind. After searching through the thread for a while I found it. Stupid boomerang. icon_razz.gif

2ND EDIT: Mkay so now I'm stuck again. REALLY stumped this time. I got into that room in level two where you kill all the enemies and an arrow in the tiles appears pointing at the wall. What do I do in that room? I've tried bombing the wall and it doesn't work.

The posts confirm what I was thinking: outside of Level 4 is a key somewhere to actually get into the dungeon proper. I'm having trouble finding it. Is there a reference screen you can give? (I've found the blue armor cave and the inn if that helps.)

It's actually a bit simple. You enter Level 4, go to the right room, and bomb teh south wall for a secret exit where the key is.
