QUOTE(Nathaniel @ Feb 13 2010, 04:11 PM) View Post

Triforce dungeon 1 can be accessed at the northwest corner of the swamps. There should be a large stone block. Stand next to it and blow your Ocarina, and it will disappear. Then walk north up the very narrow strip of beach, leading to a cave that leads to the first triforce dungeon.

Triforce dungeon 2 is found near the center of the lava flows. I don't recall that even being the second one I found, as they don't have to be done in order anyway. This one is too hard for me to explain, but somewhere in the lava flows is a skull on a post sort of barrier that can only be lifted by throwing the boomerang at a trigger that is close to the regular dungeon 2 entrance, so you would of course need to get that first.

I am not sure if you meant triforce dungeon 2 or just regular dungeon 2, though. Regular dungeon 2 can also be found in the lava flows, and is accessed by a portal that you have to sort of wind around in order to get there. If you can find another stone block that you need the ocarina to get past (in the western part of the lava flows), then you are on the right track, as that path leads the way.

Ok thank you very much PureZC staff.

The triforce dungeons are optional, but a very helpful option to take. Completing them all will eventually lead to the access to another location, which will get you something tremendously helpful for the quest (but still optional). Plus, they add whistle warp locations, as would typically be the case. The first triforce dungeon is full of lost woods style puzzles. You need to use what is in the screens themselves as hints to what the correct route is.

The_Lost_Explorer reply made me register to vote Lost Isle.
This quest isn't so good: it contains some bad and adult material. Not so good!

Anyway I like your great work on the qst.

-Take an example from Pineconn, his qsts are so GREAT!

I would except that I'm me and he's him. We are two different style of questmakers. I can only make quests that way I know how, and he can only make quests he knows how. I cannot be like him. I'm sorry.

Thanks for the one star/two star reviews. Its nice to know people out there dislike the quests because of blood, 'unreal' beginnings, quests made for specific builds or older ZC versions and bad Midis. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

DFW, I have to agree with you. I can not see how these reasons would drop LI's rating lower than 3 stars (and even 3 is not really fair in my eyes).
Well, you still have the majority of the player loving your game.

Actually, that user's just been going around rating every good quest 1-2 stars because it wasn't made by Pineconn. Everything without the classic Zelda storyline is a bad game in his eyes. The other people that give Lost Isle a bad score are the ones that are jealous.

I hate to dig further into the ground, but his comment on LttH being Suitable for children(opposite of what is said on Lost Isle for sure) is heavily contradictory. If you recall Level 7 of LttH, there are certain rooms full of blood, as shown recently in my LP of it, hardly child safe.

EDIT: I think I've been playing too much Phoenix Wright...

Anyway, back on topic. Been watching DFW's LP. It's kinda cool seeing the commentary, getting some backstory on the project.

Wolfie, I stopped caring about the ratings long time ago, you should as well. There's no justice in the system anyways, people can come and give any kind of rating without giving any good reasons... so who cares? I actually enjoy reading all the jealous comments. All good games get crap ratings just because they're good, lol. icon_smile.gif

Amyways, I cannot wait to see the final parts of Wolfie's LP. I've made some comments on her videos, though I doubt anyone cares about them. icon_razz.gif

Just for the record: Staff are currently discussing PineconnFan's ratings and comments. I agree: They are ridiculous. We are also discussing his quick journey to a post count of 10, which he had to do in order to make those ratings. We are slow decision makers when it comes to non-crisis situations, but I can assure you, a decision will be made.

But back to the ranch: I started watching some of these Lost Isle videos. Accurate or semi-accurate, I do enjoy the comments and background information. Even when beta testing, I knew only the basics of who did what. Two great quest makers often clash when their methods and ideas differ. Goes to show there is more than one right way to make a great quest. You certainly don't have to have a name that begins with Pineconn either, although he certainly does good work too.

There's no doubt in my mind that this is a great quest, as I've said before. I was a little turned off by the difficulty of it, but it's not like the quest is bad just because I suck, right? icon_razz.gif

I know people have already been saying this more than enough, but I just don't see how blood could possibly be something that would take down the rating of the game. I mean, sure, it doesn't make it suitable for younger audiences, but who the *insert french word here* ever said that all quests had to do that?! It's obvious from the very first second of this quest that it's a very dark one, and if one can't handle a few pixelated blood-pools, then I don't think one should be playing the game, and especially not rate it down because of it. That's like giving a great game like GTA: IV a low rating because you can shoot people and kill them in other violent ways... that's one of the things that makes the game what it is, and unless it's broken somehow, or stops the player from being able to say, complete a mission, it shouldn't be rated low for being what it was supposed to be!

Being a game-reviewer, I have a list of rules when it comes to reviewing games. This isn't just a list that I made myself, but something my editor gave me, so that I would know what they could and couldn't publish.

In that list, it is written that one should not complain about a game not being suitable for certain ages, even if the ESRB-ratings lists it as a game that should be. The developer doesn't rate the game, so that's not up to them to decide. So while Rockstar always knows that their new GTA will get an 18+ (In Norway), they can't actually put it on the box without having the ESRB rate it first.

In my opinion, I think all comments of these kinds should be removed, because they simply aren't okay.

Though, this guy is called "PineconnFan", so I think it's pretty safe to say that this is just some fan of someone else being a fanboy, and probably even jealous that he couldn't pull off a quest that's probably the best one ever made so far!

Well Peteo corrects me if I say something wrong. But for the most part, my memory is pretty good. But some of the 'who did whats' do kind of blend together on the more minute details of the quest.

I got some very important:

- Lv2 Entrance go up and fall down while you at the cutsence press and hold down and you skip to Boss Cut-scene
- When you at the Lv2 Boss Arena while beating the first digdogger. I stood at the north door when defeated it I went up and entered a blank screen.

Other then that great quest as I say again 'I tried to make a '0' death run I died at Lv3 Boss'.
