Well, after watching 11 episodes of it, I definitely consider myself a Brony, time to change my avatar to a pony like half the other people on Pure ZC. =D

Wow, that was quick easy WELCOME TO THE HERD.

It comes more naturally to some than others.

I watched about a dozen episodes before I finally accepted the fact that the show is awesome- and went on a frenzy watching every episode and went through the last 4 phases in a couple weeks.

I watched the Zacura episode back in April or something, then didn't touch it again for many months. Some time about two months ago, maybe less, I watched the first episode, then the second, then the third.. then the fourth, then the fifth, then the sixth, and before I knew it, I had seen every episode in the span of two or three days, and I didn't look back.

Dunno how that happened.

It was actually this YTPMV that I found that tempted me to watch the show (That and the fact that a majority of the people on Pure ZC watch the show)

I watched the first episode, then the second, then the third.. then the fourth, then the fifth, then the sixth, and before I knew it, I had seen every episode in the span of two or three days, and I didn't look back.

Dunno how that happened.

Sounds kinda like how I watched Fullmetal Alchemist. I watched the entire series and the movie in three days. That was literally ALL I did for three days, aside from eating and sleeping. And then when Brotherhood came out, I watched it religiously with my sister. And then we rewatched the first 26 episodes it when the dubs were on Netflix.

I would have never expected ponies to be just as exciting as Fullmetal Alchemist.

Pretty sure we can expect a Pinkie centric episode next. And also the leaked Smile, smile, smile song. Just a hunch. Christmas and Pinkie would fit nicely together I think.

Opinions on new episode.

New favourite episode in Season 2. I especially like that it breaks away from the usual premise of the main cast's antic, while still keeping the main cast. (That's probably not the best way to word it, but I can't think of what the best is.) And that it fools you into thinking it's a holidays episode when it's actually a backstory episode. This episode really redeems Merriwether Williams as a writer in my eyes, after the Mare-Do-Well.

Also, Fluttershy hiding in a box is officially the new cutest thing ever.

So remember when people said that Derpy's official name wasn't Derpy?

Derpy was REALLY easy to spot in this one. You'd have to be a moron to miss it.

Thoughts:

-Spike sounds odd faking a British accent.
-It's funny that the Hearth is shaped like a heart. It's a nice visual pun.
-I LMAO'd when Pinkie Pie went into the house through the chimney. Hilarity ensued.
-I like how they didn't pretend to be bad actors. That would have ruined the entire episode.
-It's the first legit moral they've had in a while. Well, I guess last week counts as a real moral, but still.

AND THAT'S HOW EQUESTRIA WAS MADE! This doesn't explain where Celestia and Luna came from...

Best Decemberween/Christmas/Festivus/Giftmas/Winter/Hearth's Warming Eve episode ever. (I refuse to call it "Holiday" ) I don't think I've seen it done better by any other show.

I always thought the assertion that Derpy's canon name was Ditzy Doo was silly, considering it came about from a single comment from Faust about how it could, potentially be used as Derpy's name, in the future, maybe. And this is coming from someone who preferred the Ditzy name.

Speaking of Derpy, she was great in this episode. Love how they're storyboarding her in there, now.

But you know who was even better than Derpy? Pinkie Pie CHANCELLOR PUDDINGHEAD.

Okay, so on the whole, I loved this episode a hell of a lot more than I thought I would (I have a certain hatred for Christmas specials in TV shows), but one thing was a bit off-putting...

I noticed that around 17:00, Fluttershy's character begins referring to commander hurricane as "she" instead of "he". Not a big deal, just...it bothered me a bit that they would randomly switch gender pronouns like that.

Definitely one of my favorite episodes. It reminded me of the first two episodes a lot, actually, which is always a big plus.

"Sir" can be for a male or female. Not sure it made a difference, really.
