My first review I wrote went way over the 1024 character limit that I didn't even know exists.
So I had to make up a short version, so I guess I may as well post the long version here (I pretty much wrote an essay about it lol):
Upon beating this game, I had some conflicting emotions. I was happy that I triumphed over evil and escaped alive, but sad because that's it, no more Lost Isle.

This game was absolutely fantastic (I refuse to call this a quest, if you put this on a Wii disc or something, I would buy it twice), the overworld was massive and stunning. Six whole maps full of beautiful scenery, dangerous foes, many secrets, and of course complex cave systems. It just has so many places to explore that you could spend hours just looking around and getting stuff before even setting foot in a dungeon, and once you get an item from that dungeon, you're overcome by the urge to rush back out and see what else you can plunder with your newfound ability.
The dungeons were amazing, even the first dungeon was daunting when I first played it; I was in fear of how massive the rest of the dungeons were going to be. The puzzles were executed perfectly; the traps were great (let's just not talk about the disappearing blocks in the 3rd dungeon...). The last level surprised me due to how short it was compared to the rest, but it was a pretty epic buildup to the final boss.
The first 3 bosses were decent, I was thinking there'd be some more epic custom-boss-that-takes-up-two-thirds-of-the-screen action, but then the fourth dungeon came and then the bosses got awesome! Then of course the final boss was amazing, I also like the custom enemies (never touch the black gibdos!), those guys added a new twist which further separated this game from the source material.
The music was perfect for the area it was in, some of it was so catchy that I still find myself humming some of it!
It's also pretty unique being in a place where there aren't potion shops all over ready to sell you some helpful difficulty neutralizing medicine for low low prices. You have to work for your potions, 10 of them on the island, when they're gone, they're gone for good! Of course there is a secret potion shop somewhere (I tried looking for it when I was in dire need of potions for the fourth boss, but serendipitously stumbled across a couple potions I hadn't used yet and just went back to finish the dungeon), but it's really really expensive from what I've heard.
Same thing with the shields, be wary of those Grasps! It was a good feeling when I got the ultimate shield, no longer did I have to fear those severed hands.
Finally, the overall atmosphere was perfect. You could just sense something was wrong when you saw that the only friendly inhabitants were several skeleton dudes. The way their dialogue changes from dungeon to dungeon is cool. If you want old men who can somehow survive in a desolate room in a hostile dungeon to tell you what to do, you're in the wrong place.
What do you get when you combine the talents of 2 of the most talented quest makers ever? You get an amazing quest that makes me wish there was a 6 star option.
But since there isn't, you get five stars, and a thumbs-up smiley:

If Nintendo were to see this game, they would probably track you both down and hire you on the spot to become heads of the next Wii Zelda game.
I thought I could just delete a couple parts and make it under the limit, but no, I pasted it into word: 3128 characters with spaces!
I wasn't about to do massive surgery on my huge essay review, so I just made a new shorter one.
