Almost done with Rayman Legends. I still have three paintings left in Olympus Maximus. I wonder how hard the final world is in this game.

I played through a lot of GTA V. That torture mission was crazy. lol

If Ventus only had a PS3.

Man I can fully agree that mission was insane, it had to be one of the most disturbing game moments of my gaming life.

If Dawnlight will stop rubbing it my face. :P

Been playing Kirby Super Star Ultra and have been attempting the True Arena. I have to say this is a real challenge but I am slowly inching along. My best attempt so far is getting Galatica Knight (the second-last boss) down to about 1/4 of its HP.
So far, I've had the most success running Wing Kirby as his charge attack gives him a few moments of invincibility which I can easily abuse. It has proven vital for me defeating Masked Dedede and its dive bomb attack also deals considerable damage. With it, I have been able to defeat all of the bosses up to Wham Bam Jewel flawlessly. Still need to work out a strategy for Galatica Knight because he still defeats me every time.

Give Plasma a try. If you can charge fast, you can beat pretty much anything without too much trouble.

Found a video on Youtube if that helps: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=u71mYtU9SvI

(This guy seemed to take a bit more damage in order to get a faster time here too. Probably wanna avoid getting hit if you're still trying for the first time)

Wing is alright, just it doesn't do much damage and it's more of a defensive ability. Not really the best for the fight if you're unfamiliar with his patterns.

If you wanna be really cheap, you could try Stone too.

I've tried Plasma before I went to Wing. I've been able to beat all of the bosses except the Final Four with it reasonably easily and fast. However, I just can't seem to defeat Masked Dededee before he ends up cornering me and causing me to lose my ability. I'd probably learn how to beat him later as Plasma but it is pretty frustrating losing to him over and over while trying to figure out how to maneuver around him. I might try what's in the video later (stupid internet limits set me down to Dial-Up, making it difficult to watch Youtube). I've been able to beat everything I've been up to except Wham Bam Jewel and Galatica Knight without taking damage as Wing Kirby. The dive bomb attack, while nowhere near as powerful as Plasma, does decent damage when I land reasonably close to the boss (provided it is on the ground!) and can be done repeatedly to whittle their health away in a reasonable amount of time.

That said, I might try Plasma again soon to see how far I can get.

As far as helpers go, I say that Bonkers is the best to pick because his attacks do a lot of damage, making the first couple of bosses that much quicker to defeat. He is effective against Lolo and Lala in particular, as they are two targets and Bonkers can hit them both relatively easily. It's not like helpers will last very long with the AI they have anyway so why not have them deal a lot of damage in the mean time.

Rayman Legends beaten. Overall, a fantastic platformer and one of the best this year. Its presentation and production value is WAAAAY better than Origins which was also a masterpiece. But just to warn you that the Murfy levels don't work well on the Vita at all. :( It's probably best to get this game on the Wii U.

FINAL SCORE: 4/5

Decided to play Ocarina of Time 3D again in partial anticipation of A Link Between Worlds? Why Ocarina of Time 3D? Because it's the other 3DS Zelda game, might as well play it in anticipation of the new 3DS game, even if OoT's just a port. It's done, and now I look forward to A Link to the Past tomorrow and A Link Between Worlds on Friday. I should probably get back to my third Fire Emblem Awakening file at some point... maybe later. :heh:

More Terraria with some Agility grinding in Old School Runescape. In Terraria, I found really cheap way to fight the pirates. Granted, I need a lava pit on one side of my house, but other than that, all I have to do is hang on the block just above the right door of my house and point my Megashark to the left and fire. A campfire helps shrug off the few lucky hits the crossbow and gun pirates get off on me. It's really dirty, but hey, it works. And in a game everything does major damage and potions have such an aggressively long cooldown time, not doing that pretty much ensures that you die a lot. That is, unless you have Vampire Knives or wear Spectre Robes, both of which are broken heal off of damage items.

As for Old School Runescape, just grinding my Agility stat for a few quests. It's such a pain to train since it's so monotonous and slow to level up. I would ignore it, but I NEED it for quests with good rewards. Short-term I only need to get up to 48, which is two levels away from where I am right now. The biggest problem is even once I hit that minimum level requirement, I'll still end up failing what I need level 48 Agility for in the quest 98% of the time anyway, although the rewards will be well worth it in the end. Other than that, I need to enhance my Cooking skill to 70 (which is far faster to train) and glove upgrade get. One day, I'll have the 3rd best gloves and hopefully before next Spring the best ones.

Completed Link to the Past last night. All heart pieces found, no deaths. I've never done that before, so now I'm ready for Link Between Worlds.

Started playing A Link Between Worlds and Super Mario 3D World. I already shared my thoughts about A Link Between Worlds in that topic, but Super Mario 3D Land, this is my face after playing it.......  Seriously, this game is fantastic. If you need a reason to buy a Wii U, then THIS is the reason. This game is literally what a Mario game would look like if you took all of your favorite features from the previous installments. Consider myself satisfied with the game.

Monopoly on the Sega Genesis for me. It's a shame the computer values the purple properties so much, consdering they're the worst ones in the game. Seriously, I was playing against them and they considered getting a purple monopoly acceptable to give their opponent the green one. That and I get a bit annoyed watching the computer do the same trade with each other, just to get hit with a "No deal this time" message. They don't even barter 95% of the time. It's just a flat out rejection. Thankfully, they'll pay you $500 for a utility monopoly, great for putting them in a cardboard box faster.

Pretty slow start for me though. Every roll I landed on someone else's property but SOMEHOW got all three reds. I improved them slowly, only having enough for one house each. Slowly, I threw more houses up every time I could buy houses and have $200 leftover (so I only bought if I had at least $350). My strategy paid as I kept raking in the money until I had hotels. It was all downhill from there as one CPU after another slowly went bankrupt to me. The next game went similarly, only this time with the yellows. The only thing was I ended up with only two monopolies where my opponent had five but couldn't get any houses or anything going. All I had were pinks and yellows; he had all the other save for greens, which we each had one and the third never got landed on. Ultimately, same result.

Well after finishing A Link Between Worlds I've gotten into the Zelda mood. And pulled out the old Super Nintendo and Started up A Link To The Past.

Started playing Rhapsody - A Musical Adventure on the PS1 today. Admittedly, it's because of Marjoly's appearance in most of the Disgaea games that got me curious on what it is exactly. But I'm enjoying it so far. It's a bit of a SRPG, where random encounters are done with grid-based combat. (Like Nippon Ichi's later games. The SRPG bit, not the random encounter bit. :P) I'm kinda curious if we're going to see crazy numbers like in their later games in this one. I'm not expecting it, but we'll see. :P
