I've had this in my sig for a while, but I want to try and play against one of the PZCers sometime during weekdays(I work weekends, icon_frown.gif ) I'm really looking for a 1 on 1 challenge, as I'm not too keen on 4 person free for alls.

Any takers?

... ... Damnit Mike! Now you've got me interested. >_<

Well, if you're in Pennsylvania, that might be okay. I'm in Southwestern New York, so the lag might not be that bad. We'll see. I dunno when a good time would be though. How are Weekend evenings for you?

Depends on how tired I am. I'm usually beat from work and I go to sleep at 4 pm. icon_deformed.gif

I'm not surprised you're interested, after all, the bait was intended for you. I think that its been said that you're one of the better SSB Players here, and I don't have any real rank. I think you'll hammer me into the ground, but thats fine.

Anyway I'll see if I can manage, do you have a specific time in mind? I get home about 4PM.

I might be able to fight this weekend.

Although you and I like completely different stages. I like the ones where the stage itself is the main threat (which is why I love ones like Spear Pillar) while you like the more peaceful stages.

If you can bear with 2 Final Destination matches, I'll bear through 2 matches with a stage of your choosing. Or any reasonable and equal amount of matches. If I recall, I owe you (or you owe me) a match from September or earlier. icon_heh.gif

Ya, I'm fine with FD. It's actually a fun stage.

Than I'll see if I can get my sister to steer clear of the internet for a couple of hours on days you feel comfortable with, that way I can keep my end as lag-free as possible.

Really, I just do FD all the way, I'd say. I prefer one on one matches, and that's just the ideal place anyway, in a sort of "Bioforming" fashion. It makes me want to play on it, rather than me searching for a perfect arena. Everyone else is fine with it as well, seeing as how Brawl has a stage editor, yet nobody seems to care enough to bother making a new stage of a single block with none of FD's under-edge trickery.
I actually did that- it worked well, and had the Golden Sun Final Battle music that I so enjoy. Unfortunately, to preserve left/right barrier fairness, you have to use a large stage, meaning there's an unearthly amount of upward space, so it's hard to smash up. I could move the platform higher, but that would give characters like Kirby, Dedede, and Pit really unfair advantages in recovery.

Yeah, FD needs a do-over.

For the record, Final Destination isn't the most neutral stage there is. Characters with spammable projectiles rule there. You do not wanna play a good Snake at FD. But I gotta agree with it being worse for Marth than Ike. Ike is heavier, has 2 recovery options (even if Quick Draw isn't that good for recovering), and Ike has overall better range with his attacks.

I'm up for a few games. I need someone to play besides my little brother (who is actually pretty good). Any of you guys familiar with competitive Smash rules? I kind of wanna get some "by the book" matches in. icon_rolleyes.gif

You've obviously not played a match when that saved your life icon_razz.gif j/k.
I'd love to take anyone on, but my Wii is still effed up, and won't read discs for squat.

Which remind me. My game sometimes randomly crashes. Most of the time it's when I fighting Master Hand on expert or something like that. I recently found out that it's a problem with my Wii, and Nintendo will fix it for free. Now I just need to send it in.

I hate matches on unfair stages- it just ruins the fun of actually fighting someone with skill. Of course, none of the stages are really fair... I can stand the Pirate Ship, Bridge of Eldin, Battlefield, and Onett. Even Final Destination is a little unfair. Especially when fighting those with rapid fire gunshots, like Fox... icon_blah.gif

Falco is worse. When dealing with Fox, you can just do a single jump over most of the laser fire, then literally run right along the ground towards the fox with a running attack or try to grab him. They're too busy firing the damned laser and trying to put it away in time to get away from it. Did that today. Team games against one particular Fox who thought it'd be mighty keen of him to do as much damage as possible with his laser. Sex Kicks are very effective against them due to their speed.

I still love combining attacks with the stage to win. Like one time, on New Pork City, the Ultimate Chimera appeared. I grabbed my little brother and through him straight into the Chimera. Or on Spear Pillar, I'll grab them and hold them right inside the beam while I stay outside. Or of course, knocking them down right into a car on Onett. That one's the most rewarding.
