Well, I said I wasn't, but I am much more likely now than ever to plan a remake my first quest in 2.50 since I pretty much hit a designer's block with Adam's Quest II. I will keep the original for historical purposes (no bugfixes though since I cannot access 1.92 beta 183). Anyway, some planned changes if I do in fact go through with this:

Spoiler

Perhaps in doing that, I could add a bit of story and maybe get the inspiration I need to finish my main project so various people can torture themselves. Okay, it's not THAT hard. I will admit some points it's above 2nd quest difficulty early but it's manageable I think.

I submitted an entry to Enemy of the Month #6. Two entries, in fact. One of them was inspired by you, RedmageAdam.

Some of my friends gave suggestions on how I can improve the my Water Temple. I'll admit, the beginning of my game has some bad design choices and I am working of fixing them. I believe I've fixed most of them, without having to tear down the whole world.

I can't wait to see it and what inspired it. That really made me lift an eyebrow.

Palette work. Oh, gawd ...  I'm going to have nightmares about the color orange. I think I got everything worked out, finally. I've been working on these colors for hours.

You might know this already, but you can use the 1-3 keys and 7-9 keys when selecting a color in the palette editor to modify its individual RGB values. This has proven invaluable to me in the past because I can use another program like Gimp to get the colors I want and then do some simple math to get the RGB to match up with ZC's 0-63 scale.

Yup! It's a great method. The trick is that there's so much mixing going on with orange. If you get it too dull it looks like brown, and if you don't have just the right amount of green it looks too red, combined with the fact everyone else's monitors display red more intensely than mine. My purples had a similar problem. What looks like a nice, jazzy purple on my monitor looks like pink on a different one. Yeah, not fun.

This is so true. Most colors I can do in a couple of attempts and call it good enough. Orange and brown are the exception. I can never get them to look right. Never. I guess we just happen to dislike the same colors or something. :P

Anyways, today I started working on a script and ran into the worst dead end I've had in a while. I know exactly where the problematic part is, just not why it's acting up or how to fix it. Hopefully I'll see what my silly mistake was soon...I swear if it's another case where I used X twice...

Edit: And you wanna know what I wasted all day trying to fix? PEMDAS. Freaking PEMDAS. Okay so it was if statement stuff, not quite PEMDAS, but similar enough.

A quest where the hero is a LikeLike? That's great.

How does the LikeLike acquire a magic shield? I hope there's a Link enemy he has to smother so he can swallow his shield.

I remember in Zelda Deluxe's original quests saying that the level 3 Darknuts were "pink Darknuts" because of that. And yeah, I hear you on orange. I tend to end up with a straw color or too close to scarlet. Bad enough I used to think levels 4 and 6 in the original Zelda were the "Orange Dungeons". On some displays, they look brown and on others, they look yellow. When I was younger, my TV made it look orange. I kind of had a bad habit of calling the dungeons by their color. Like in Zelda 2, I told my mother I was stuck in "the Purple Dungeon", which on some videos looks more like an off blue or indigo color rather than purple.

Half the time though, I just randomly spaz about until I find something close and work from there.

It is funny that you guys are talking about colors because I am working on a color themed world and dungeon right now. Lots of different colors, you know, like a rainbow.

Personally, I find oranges to look a lot like red and my cousin says some brown tiles look red to him. This is very important in my quest because "Red is bad".

I am brainstorming mini game ideas for my quest. There are some skills I would like the player to know about before entering some of my dungeons, and I don't want to flat out tell them what that skill is. To solve this, I am brainstorming mini game ideas that teach you the necessary skills to be successful in my dungeons. For completing the mini games, you will be rewarded with a heart container piece.

lay down tiles, think things. do dungons need gimics? hunted down midis. didn't go to see how to fix the "i pick up a shield, change graphic" because I do not understand what and where to select.

and I think, how much of testing I do, and then I give it to someone to run though and look for mistakes I had? and then upload it.  If I have blocks of text and 2.10 type cut sceens, I upload as "story based?"

making my block on layer 1 to push does not let me push it the many times I need to happen.

didn't play with cycling combos. don't think I understand. I need a picture/videos.
