For anybody who has the demo (or is reading this when the game comes out), TS and I have been competing to see who can get the best time in Green Hill Act 2, and I've got it down to 1:53. Beat that, if you can.

I actually thought about taking all the games represented in Generations and beating them through before the game came out, but that would take up too much time and I started late anyway. But the individual levels and bosses won't be a problem! I'll just have to use my emulator for Metal Sonic, since I don't have a Sega CD. lol
Heck, even though the Death Egg Robot is in Sonic 2 but it's after the Sonic & Knuckles level in Generations, I'll even start by playing Chemical Plant, then play Metal Sonic on my laptop, then play Sky Sanctuary, then put Sonic 2 back in and beat the Death Egg Robot, then proceed as normal. Yes it's weird but whatever. Yay for S3&K save data and Sonic 2 level select cheats!

But even that aside, the games have great replayability. I've easily clocked 100 hours in Unleashed, and still haven't gotten near everything, and Generations has the red rings and bonus missions, so I don't think it'll disappoint time wise.

Wait a second, would that be 50 Australian dollars. Could the price change just be because they're using different currencies with different values?

I have to say I'm Totally Excited For tomorrow!, and the game price I'm paying is the standard $49,99 plus tax.
And another thing I want to ask?, are we going too compare each others Best Times?
You know for some Fun sport between Friends?

I know I am, for sure. Right now I'm .08 seconds faster than TS at Green Hill Modern, and I need to widen that gap a bit before he catches up. Yeah... I've been playing the demo WAY too often.
The cool thing for me is that the game's a birthday present. My birthday was back in July, but my mom pre-ordered it as a gift, so I'm picking it up on the way back from school tomorrow and playing the heck out of it. Crisis City... I want to play that stage more than any other, I think. Or maybe Planet Wisp, so I can see if they actually managed to make the wisps work in this game. Then again, Seaside Hill looks kinda like Adabat and Labyrinth Zone mixed... TOO MANY CHOICES.

Don't worry, catching up with Russ will be simple. Like I said, I'm just gonna quit wasting the effort on the demo since it doesn't record your time. Anyways, as far as longevity, I'm sure it'll have plenty of things to do. There's not only a Classic and Modern version of nine main stages, there are tons of bonus stages for each one as well. So it'll have a pretty good length. An acceptable one, I'd say. Plus the demo alone has proven that replaying the stages to get the best times will become a hobby quickly.
Also I lied, 1:53.17 is my new record, eat it, little bro.

Games in Norway costs 599 NOK when they're new. That's about 106 USD. There's multiple reasons for this, but it has nothing to do with the games themselves. One of the main reasons is that we earn more money here than people do in say, the US, so if the prices were the same, we'd basically be really rich. We have higher prices when it comes to everything, not just games. It's just a balancing measure.
It can be exploited though. Every single day, Norwegians take a drive to the border of Sweden and shops at one of two shopping malls situated just inside Sweden (placed there for the Norwegians, even), because it's so much cheaper there when we use our currency. It's a good system
Oh and for the sake of not being completely off-topic: I'm not going to get this game. All Sonic games in history have been horrible, but the later ones have been even worse. I know fans would disagree, but that's what makes them fans in the first place
