So you like not so detailed screens, more then awesomely detailed screens?

The screen's kind of boxy and symmetrical. I think it has potential, but those two factors are killing it. The detail's nice, though.

The ledge to the right of the darker rock needs to be one (possibly two; I can't really tell without fiddling with it) combo(s) longer. The length of the ledge doesn't match the length of the water.

I have been messing around with the classic tileset a bit, and I still have a little while to go (for example, the shadows) but I thought it would be worth getting criticism before I continue.

Any criticism on the screens or tiles and palletes are welcome.

Sorry for the pic size and for the fact its taken in ZQuest, no warps are set yet so it would be impossible to show these screens, plus I havent started on Link or the enemy tiles.

Wow, HollowKnight! Those are VERY good!
Did you edit the tileset yourself? Because the colors are amazing

I like it. A lot. Simplistic, yet amazing design and functionality. And the graphics look awesome. VERY impressive.

Great screens HollowKnight (can i call you HK, because its quite tedious writing Hollowknight all the time.)
the only think i dont like is that i think there is too much green in the second screen. Try variating a little more, something like a lighter green icon_wink.gif

Hm, I see what you mean. I may put brown in there, or just take your suggestion and shut up icon_razz.gif

You can call me HK or Hollow, I don't care which.

For the record, your trees uses more colours then what the NES would be able to handle. Four is the max limit per tile, and transparent is counted as one.

Not that it really matters at all, but I just thought I would let you know, the screens look great.

Yoshi, I like it. There's room for improovement, but it looks pretty Nintendo canon, which is a good thing. I recommand placing 3-4 bushes on the screen, it's good to have a heart refiller in front of the dungeon, in my opinion.
Hollow, it's beautiful icon_smile.gif I like the colours.
