what I see so far looks good, eventhough I never played such prehistorial Kirby (I played the one the N64 and that thing on the GBA, both just a little though). I guess you should show off with a vid of either how to use the tileset or a little something that shows off gameplay. Just an idea.

Yup, So long, Shiek.

@ Joe123 and blaman

Glad to see you guys are still with me on this! icon_smile.gif I think I might do a binge-rip thing, and rip a bunch tonight... icon_wink.gif (we still have some sprites and effects to rip icon_razz.gif Btw, Joe, do you want me to turn the enemies and Kirby animations into combos? Or just leave 'em as tiles? [I think I may've asked this before, but just gotta be sure icon_razz.gif] )

@ Shiek

Yeah, we've been thinking about making an updated video (since that one in my signature is pretty old)! I'll let you guys know when it happens! And we'll definitely have to make a vid or tutorial on how to use the set... (since I'm not exactly a pro at it myself! icon_razz.gif)

@ Moo2wo

I'll try! lol I love Kirby, too!

I'll probably use them as tiles, but it wouldn't hurt to combo them.
Making named weapon/misc sprites for the animations would be very useful.

Ok... yeah, just five, but there's more tiles than that, I promise! And, unfortunately, the propellers on the blimps may look off to some of those with sharp eyes... and that's 'cause I must've ripped them 8 pixels off center. XP Agh! I don't wanna have to move all 60+ frames over 8 pixels! Everyone, just pretend it didn't happen! lol

Its still hard to believe that a kirby game could be made in zelda classic.

Simply WOW! icon_heh.gif

That was pretty impressive i must say.

Is this tileset still in development AgentLym?

AL, try selecting a block of tiles (make sure you've set the block selector with space bar rather than having the row selector), then hold down 'Alt' and press an arrow key.
I think you might be pleasently surprised =)

Yeah, it is... although I guess-- well, no. I would give some people an incomplete version, but there's no enemies! (yet! icon_razz.gif) Can't play a game without enemies! lol Plus, I imagine the scripts and stuff need to be polished a little before release. icon_wink.gif But, I'll let you guys know just as soon as a beta is made public! icon_biggrin.gif

I probably wrote about 10% (being optimistic) of what would need doing to make a fully kirby-style set out of it.
And what I wrote needs re-writing because it'd be very hard to make compatible the way it currently is.

Sorry =(

Oh... well, I think we can still pull this off! Although, I hope it's not too much of a pain to rewrite it... icon_razz.gif

But on a better note, that little trick you told me worked, Joe! icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif icon_biggrin.gif Ah, that lifted a surprisingly heavy weight off my mind! And no matter how long I use ZQ, I never seem to learn all it's little intricacies... that's what I like to call, quality! Good job, ZC Devs! icon_wink.gif And thanks for showing me it, J123! icon_smile.gif

Yeah, it's pretty... erm... unorganized. But, not to worry! I am currently working on a MAJOR overhaul of all the tiles/combos/palettes so that they become much more organized and orderly! There'll be a separate section for foreground floors, walls, background things, sky and clouds, water, etc. It's coming along pretty well! Plus, I'm recoloring, like, every tile so that it comes in two color schemes at least! I'm still on the Foreground Floor section (the first section), but it's about done. Just wondering how the desert blocks and stuff are going to figure in...

Also, I'm going to add a completely new palette group with all (or most, at least) color combinations for the first and secondary color schemes... (so it'll be like, 10 separate c-sets for Red/Red, Red/Orange, Red/Yellow, Red/Green, etc. That way, if anyone needs an extra c-set [which they might, but no problem because I've left c-set 9 open at pretty much every palette icon_wink.gif ], they can just copy the c-set they need and paste it to the one they're currently using! Or just make a completely custom one, it doesn't matter! lol ) Hopefully that'll go quickly! Also, I moved all the tiles down a bunch of pages, and returned all the enemies and item sprites and all that other default stuff to their former positions! icon_biggrin.gif Unfortunately, they're just the original Zelda enemies, but... ah well. And I'm labeling them all nice and neat and stuff...

The only thing that might be a pain to navigate are the tiles themselves, but luckily, you don't need to browse the tiles! icon_wink.gif ...and that's about it.

So, sorry if I can't get the enemies and stuff to you sooner, Joe123, as I'm busy reorganizing and things, but I'll get it to you as soon as possible! icon_smile.gif
