Crunch the Rockdog was about as good of character development as one could ask for. Truly an awesome episode, with the exception of the lame song at the end.
Rescue at Midnight Castle was mostly just awesome for the action. And in truth, once you've watched it 20 or 30 more times, you start to notice some really subtle and rather disturbing elements. Not to mention the stuff that was plainly obvious, like Tirek threatening to behead Spike, or painful-looking transformations that remind me of The End of Evangelion, or demons b****-slapping each other, or the main villain getting torn to shreds on-screen.
And Megan...well, it's best to just ignore Megan.
