Well, it's not so much what I got done TODAY, as much as the last few days. A few days ago, we had a huge storm (actually a tornado, and my house was barely out of range. We rarely get tornadoes here, I think this is the first one I've seen since I moved here seven years ago.), and it took down the power in the area. After the power came back up, the internet was down. So, with little else to do, I worked on my quest a bit more than usual.
My side-quest is just about finished. I've got the overworld fully functional (besides houses and caves), and just needing a second pass to add in decoration. The dungeon itself is just about finished as well. I finally got all the scripts working together, with some help from Freya, who actually wrote them. (Pits/Lava and Freeform Doors) I figured out how to get non-scripted FFCs working, so I've got rolling spiked logs that need jumped over, a non-scripted GB-style Miniboss warp, and a couple other things. The dungeon can be fully traversed from start to finish, I just need to fill it with enemies, build the miniboss and dungeon boss, and find an easy-to-use sideview ladder script for a small section of my dungeon that I've just cut out for now, in case I can't get it working in time. (The stairs just link directly to each other for now.)
Depending on if I get enough of Balance of Power done in time, I'll continue my side-quest by either working on plot stuff if the NPC Firebird update is released (including building the houses and caves), or adding a second dungeon if it isn't. For now, this side-quest is just a quick diversion to make sure I have something ready for the Expo in case my main quest isn't ready in time. (Plus, I wanted the practice for using Firebird. It's a different style than I'm used to, and I want to figure out how to design decently with it.)
