I love you Furion. Believe me, that's probably the best Subscreen I have seem in some times.

I simply had to put up the starting screen from the first are of the land below "No name yet" Again ignore un edited map and subscreen.

Sleek and fluid. The only thing I would change is the water. It doesn't look right. Use the SD3 transparent water. It takes some practise to use, but it works far better.

During the end of the battle, he goes into a berserk/panic mode:

A clean, effective boss screen. A little of detail, like random bones, would help this screen. Also, I don't like the DoR lava in Pure, it just clashes. Use the LttP lava instead.
His name is Sin, the Master of Destruction.
I wonder, is this a FFX refrence?

I released this in another thread, but, publicity.

Moblins not only throw their spears, they also twirl them sometimes before throwing them, to protect against your attacks. In the second shot, Felix's Slingshot attacks are simply shrugged off as the Moblin prepares to attack.
So far the Moblins are one of the most dangerous enemies that exists in my quest.

Those are some bad lookin mofos'. I'm loving your gradient graphics, they all blend well. I approve.
Oh thank you! That means so much to me!
Graphics still terrorize me, they're one of my worst areas in ZC, so I can get away with passing them off as decent by using the gradient tricks, and also most of my animated tiles or scripted Weapons and whatnot flicker, such as the spears (and also the rocks from the Octoroks), they're flickering red and white really rapidly. Hey, this way it helps alert the player that "this is here and it is dangerous", I think.

Thanks for the feedback! As I'm sure we all know, it helps!
Yes, now that I look at it, there should be some bones in that room. I think the lava looks pretty nice in my opinion, but I don't recall seeing any other lava tiles in PTUX. Maybe I'm just missing them? Anyway, I might change it if I feel the LttP looks nicer, but that's a lot of screens to redo.

I never got to play FFX, so no. It's just an alteration of Din's name. Since Din was the creator of the red earth, Sin -- her opposite -- is set on bringing chaos and destruction to the world. Hence his title.
Would you mind telling me what you thought the reference was? I'm curious now.

Sin was the name of the titanic massive monster that terrorized the world in FFX. This guy was so huge, his scales that fell off as they moved became horrifying monsters themselves. He would strike at any group of people that would grow too large (town/city), and Summoners would go on this great pilgrimage to earn an Aeon (spiritual beast) powerful enough to kill it. Any time it's killed, after about a year of recovery, it would revive and continue anew.
That's all I can really say about it without spoiling anything, and if you haven't played the game before, you really need to. It's probably one of my favorite Final Fantasy games, and I've played all of them except VIII, IX, XI, XII, XIII, an XIV. (Basically, all of them I can emulate prior to PS2 except VIII and IX, I'm trying to do the remaining ones in order)

There should be LttP lava tiles default in the combo list. Look on combo page 46 to find them.

I love shots 1 and 3 here. Something about that dark-world-esque palette just does it.

I agree with Franky and Fausch. I think the first pic looks really sharp and neat. And who wouldn't love the 2nd picture! Are those Matoya's Cave tiles? The third shot looks pretty cool, but it doesn't look like it's anything playable. As for the 4th shot, I really like the grey-scale you got going on there, and the BG looks really nice and detailed. It looks a lot like metroid, in my opinion.
Good Work Marco!
So I have been working on this dungeon for the past couple of days, and one of the things you see a lot in the dungeon, is that you have to walk along grates that go over top the lava. I though it would add more to the dungeon to make it look like more parts were added to it than what was originally there. I just want to see what everyone thinks of this, cause it can be time consuming to make it look like what it is now.
Here's some examples of what I mean:
