Well, I finally got around to fixing a script that somebody made for me, replacing all the instances of DrawScreen with DrawLayer so that I had transparency. However, now I have to make a decision. If I keep the mist through a normal layer, it won't move, but will look correct between screens. If I use the script, the mist will look much nicer on each screen, but will disappear during screen transitions. I wish there was a way to make it stay during screen transitions, but I really want a professional-looking game, so I might have to drop the idea after all. It's a real shame, if it had been working correctly, my forest would have looked absolutely perfect. Really, when the mist is moving, it looks absolutely amazing.
What did you accomplish in ZC today?

You could probably accomplish it by making it a global script. Those keep running on screen transitions. Just put the entire thing under an if statement so it only runs in certain areas.

Made another Weekly Update to one of my current quest projects. I guess that counts as a ZC thing, right? lol

Finally got around to rewriting the rings script for The Keaton Journey. Now 6 out of the 10 different rings are up and fully functional as intended, with most of the rest being simple affairs.
Edit: All of the rings except one of them are up and working, which I will do later.

I made a sprite for a Zora enemy. That looks like a snake. Using a picture of a real cobra as a model. Did I mention I'm ophidiophobic? ![]()

He looks ... happy ...

Well, it's time to officially announce that I am taking a hiatus from making Adam's Quest II. I am simply out of motivation at this point and I think I need a few weeks or so to take a break from it, because I feel that if I tried to work on it now, I would end up making the game really suck.

Sometimes it is good to take a break from such a long project. I've seen people take breaks from things, in general, and come back being better at it than they ever where before.

Finished all of Hyrule Castle's escape, and a cave leading to a Piece of Heart. Next goal is to make a village next to the castle as a sort of quest hub.

I FINALLY started working on my miniquest again today, after about three months of not being motivated in ZQuest. I fixed a few bugs and reconstructed the story to make it far better. ![]()

Added a bunch of sound effects to my quest, basing it off of only two games! I need a song for my village. Hmm. I wonder if Ordon Village would work?

I completed a LOT in ZC today! Fixed up my subscreen, fixed my magic meter (That took a good 30 minutes - an hour
), worked a lot on my overworld, and did a bit more in my dungeon! I'm proud of myself. ![]()
