My brother bought me both Animal Crossing New Leaf, and Mario and Luigi Dream Team, so I'm currently playing those now. :3

Thats gotta be pretty damn awesome to have that, I'm jealous kinda... I'm sure it won't be as awesome as playing on the SD PS2 :P

And I see that you are still trying too hide that text :P

I'd rather the Kingdom Hearts 2 Final mix in HD/English, but the first game is alright too. The first game badly needed support for right-analog stick to control the camera which thankfully Final Mix implemented.

My biggest fear with regards to the HD re-releases is that they'll have nerfed the games, as other games that saw a HD re-release were also apparently nerfed (Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, Sly Raccoon Trilogy*, Jax & Daxter Trilogy etc.)

*Man, they also replaced the Stereoscopic 3D modes in the 3rd game with a mode that requires an actual 3D television instead of red/blue glasses... (Or so I've heard)

Whoa whoa, what? I've played the Jak and Daxter games, and their HD re-releases, lots of times, and I can tell you the HD version wasn't nerfed at all. The only changes (aside from the new main menu for the trilogy) were graphical; the difficulty is exactly the same.

Maybe it was the other 2 trilogies then. i don't have a PS3 so can't check myself. it was simply something I've heard about them on other forums.

Well, I finally got to play Skyward Sword up to the entrance of the first dungeon. So far, I'm not too sure what to think yet. The opening seemed to drag on for a very long time, and some of the instructions were worded a bit odd, so I got confused. For example, when you're riding a bird, I couldn't understand that you need to flap the remote like the bird's wings. The way it was worded, I thought it was trying to say that you gain speed by gliding up and diving down, so I got really frustrated when I eventually got stuck in the cloud floor.

The way the MotionPlus was implemented is a bit disappointing so far. I thought the motion control would control Link's sword up to the wrist, not the entire arm. I naturally hold the remote near-vertical when I'm not doing anything, so Link's natural running animation with the sword out looks ridiculous as hell. It's also a bit difficult for me to get diagonal attacks in correctly, but I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume I'm just not used to the controls yet.

Fi is about as annoying as everybody says. If they'd have given her a bit less dialogue and stuck more to when I specifically ask for help, it would be fine. The robot speech is a bit irritating, but I'm going to assume that for character development or something, it becomes a little more natural as the game progresses. (I can just see all of you guys laughing at me if I'm assuming wrong.)

I'm actually kind of afraid of going into the first dungeon. I've been playing these games since the NES, and I've learned over the years that if a game starts being kind to you, it's about to try and rip you a new one. This game starts you with six hearts instead of three, and gives you an empty bottle prior to even the first dungeon, even advising you to stock up on potions multiple times beforehand. I get suspicious at every Save Point or HP refill in a game. Getting this much so soon is setting off A LOT of alarms.

Yeah, the bird flapping thing is a big misstep. Had to figure that out on my own. And the dungeon... it's not too bad. Now. It'll get more difficult later, this one's only moderately difficult I'd say. For a first one. Still good dungeon.

About the bird flying: You're not the only one. I did the exact same thing. About the sword controls: You get used to them. Although I never did manage to get stabbing down right. About Fi: if by "As the game progresses," you mean "During the last 2 seconds," then yes. Fi had a lot of potential for character development, but it never goes anywhere until right at the end of the game. About the difficulty: :superevil: It's definitely the hardest Zelda since the NES/SNES days. The first level isn't too bad, but the boss'll probably give you trouble. The game's definitely definitely ramps up more and more as it goes (and by the time you hit the final boss, man oh man...).

For me, stabbing is easiest if you hold the nunchuk against your chest and shoulder while you thrust the wiimote.  That way, no random shield bashes when you don't need 'em.  That may not be your problem exactly, but damn, that was the root of a lot of my problems.  It was so much easier once I started doing that.

Also, you starting with 6 hearts, but enemies dealing more damage than they usually do in other games, pretty much means that heart containers aren't worth as much as they used to.  It makes them all the more important, but it's not as impacting when you get just one.  Think of it like this- if 6 hearts is equal to 3 hearts in this case, then that means getting only 1 heart container is the equivalent of getting half a heart added to your life meter.  I think keese and bees are the only two things in the entire game that deal less than 1 full heart's worth of damage.

Oh, a hard 3D Zelda game? I, for one, welcome the change of pace... No, honestly, I'm starting to think I might have gone a bit soft since my childhood. It'll be nice to have a really good (yet hopefully fair) challenge for a bit. (I say that now, just watch me rage-quit partway through...)

Bit disappointing to hear how Fi's character development is going to be handled. My little brother was watching me play the game, and since he doesn't know how to read yet, I was having to not only read it to him, but also give him a simplified, layman's terms explanation for what the characters were going on about. I took the constant repetitive directions in sort of a snarky, sarcastic tone, and between that and Link's derp-running with the sword, he thinks the game's hilarious. Also, if you want to hear a little kid nearly wet himself with laughter, go to the Sparring Hall and use the shield-training log, then put the shield away while telling him that you've got the shield controls figured out and you should be ready to go.

A lot of people apparently like Groose as a character. I haven't seen much to make me agree with them, though. It just looks like a stereotypical jock character, which is kind of odd for a Zelda game. I'm thinking he's more like a more-proactive Mido, where you get to actually see how he messes with Link.

By the way, I intentionally took too long to open the Sailcloth when dropping from the Loftwing to the first surface area, and Fi opened it for me and claimed that it was going to be the only time she would do so. Now I'm curious, is there actually a point where you can just drop like a rock and hit the ground like that, or will she save Link every time? (I'd test it myself, but my little brother got in trouble for hiding soup under my sister's bed, and the Wii's getting put up for a while.)I was joking around with my little brother and pulled a "8-Bit Theater": "I'm going to block the ground!" joke, but the Sailcloth opening kind of ruined it. I kind of thought it would be one of the funniest ways to get a Game Over, and (I only played once, so I don't recall if the death counter is in this game or not) it would totally be worth the death on the file.

You only have the opportunity to not open the sailcloth if you're dropping onto an island from the sky. Landing on the surface of Skyloft will automatically open the sailcloth after a point, but it's not implied it's Fi who does it... that's strange too, I didn't know she did that. As for me though, I find it amusing to smack onto islands and not open the sailcloth. :heh:

Or the world below.

Really, they could have let you flop on the ground way more often but chose not to, making the mechanic a bit redundant in numerous situations where it would of been fun to see how close you can get before opening it yourself.

BOOOOOOO!!!!! Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days HD in the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix is just a 3 hour movie with no gameplay at all! If only Ventus DID NOT have a PS3.

Bummer man, that's gotta suck I was kinda hoping that it was the full game that we could play... I would've loved to played 358/2 days on console instead of a handheld <.<

Oh well I don't think care from for the HD version :P

That's a good thing, the gameplay sucked. KH1 and 2 are the best games in the series regardless of button mashing issues in KH2! I've tried various portable games via emulation (Including 358/2) and they were all pretty lousy.
