I'm not the biggest fan of the elevation. You could just have thrown in some torches or pillars in the other room. It's not a bad screen at all, though.

I like it! Something about the stairs seems a little off, thus making the elevation seem a tad awkward, but other than that, I think it looks pretty swell. I think it captures the MC feel very well.

Yeah, this was a while ago, but it's the entrance to Level 2 netherless.

Orin XD, the change is definitely for the better. I love the changed details. It definitely looks more like a Zelda dungeon entrance. (I guess it wasn't a bad idea to have the heart panel and other stuff before, but the new one resembles classic/LttP entrances for a more nostalgic feeling.)

Well, if something's happened in the castle, I'm guessing those soldiers were turned into stone. If that's the intent, good job on the screenshot!

Nice tileset!
I would add some pots or something just below the east and west doorways; it looks a little empty there. The carpet area is fine, though.

If I said I feel this is a terribly designed screen, would you be offended? Other than the floor pattern, there's nothing differentiating the entrance from the 3 other doors. Why is there no light shining in from the outside? Then there's how the statues and torches are arranged like this is Zelda 1. You either need to learn to design better DoR dungeons or use a different tileset in my honest opinion.

I will not change tilesets, especially after considering how good some my other TLKDX screens are in DoR. I said this to you in the TLKDX thread ages ago and I'll say it again - Any dungeon screen in TLKDX will NOT be overly detailed. Overworld screens should be more detailed. I'm going for the classic-DoR look here. It IS true that I can change it up a little. I do admit that it is only a decent screen, though.

That's not to say that I will disregard your post entirley: I can add a beam of light comming in from the south door. The statues will be going nowhere, as I want to retain the classic look. I can see where you are comming from though.

I don't know, but the shallow water you're using doesn't look right with the transparent deep water. Do you think you would be able to try making the shallow water transparent as well?
