It doesn't seem like much, but I started a new quest today. It's gonna be a miniquest with only 4 dungeons that uses the standard tileset. The gimmick is that the dungeons and towns are sidescrolling and the overworld is rpg-styled (Similar to the adventure of Link). I made 2 custom subscreens to go along with the quest, as well as some new combos/tiles. I made my first animated tiles today, which is a big deal for me (in reality, it was just a flickering torch, but still!). It took me awhile at first to get everything going, as I have not used ZC in some time and have become quite rusty.

Also, @EddytheOliveira, I cancelled Link's Vengeance. I got bored and frustrated with the game after some poor design choices that were more hassle than they were worth to get rid of.

Well, between yesterday and today, I sequenced a midi, polished some scripts, made a new enemy, and completed an area that's had me stuck for a few days. I'm really excited to move on to the next area. :)

Apologies if you already know this, but we have a public database section devoted for scripts. You should check it out and see if anything strikes your fancy. :)

Learning the dark power of scripting for yourself will let you make your very own custom Aquamentus.

Be sure to join Lejes and the wrath of Aquamentus creating.

Edit:

Now completed Level 2, and I'm ready to start making more of the overworld.

I'm sorry to report that I'm going to have to add three warning points to your account for this post, as it is in violation of rule #1, "Please use common sense".

Although seriously please for the love of all things holy don't use Aquamentus as a boss.

BS Patra or bust (with its damage nerfed down to 1/2 heart for balancing purposes). But in all seriousness, Aquamentus is such a tired first boss. You just can't make it tough no matter what. The closest to it was the one in Journey of Link where it breathed fire at you, but every other one you can't make hard without false difficulty (i.e making it take 100 hits to kill). At least how I'm using it, it functions as a mini-boss in one side-dungeon as the Letter's guardian and in level 3, you have to fight a pair of them to go through the door to the path of the Wand.

I know! It's obvious he makes a better level 7 boss.

You know what mixes really well? Water and electricity. That's what I've been working on, at least.

I kinda hope you knew I was joking. Aquamentus and most (if not, all) Zelda 1 bosses aren't going to be in my quest. And I'm not using any existing enemies either as bosses. All of them are brand new.
