Went into town today for a little brother's birthday, and picked up a used MotionPlus at GameStop, so I'm going to be able to give Skyward Sword a try when we get the Wii set back up. (Had to disconnect it for a while, my little brother's been playing it too much and neglecting his pets.)

 

It'll be nice to take a break from my backlog for a bit. Playing retro games is fun, but eventually you want to see something more recent. I know that Skyward Sword isn't exactly new anymore, but it's a lot less ancient than Super NES and PlayStation games.

 

Speaking of which, I've been putting a lot of thought into this, and I think somebody could make a lot of money if they were to make an N64/PSX themed retro indie game, rather than NES/SNES themed. They had a lot of charm to them when they were done well, and a lot of them have aged pretty well too. I mean, I'm still playing Guardian's Crusade, and I'm having a blast.

Welp, I beat Legacy of Darkness again. I'm currently playing 7th Saga for the SNES.

Over 30 hours into Persona 4. I'm also playing Rayman Legends on the WiiU and have a 4-player online career mode going in Madden 25 on 360.

 

Came thisclose to beating Rogue Legacy this weekend, but that final boss is a thing that happened instead.

I just started a Random Reclass run of Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, meaning everyone's class is different from what they used to be.

Finished Fire Emblem: Awakening. That was a pretty good ending, and a damn beautiful final level/boss song. I want to play it again to see how the other choices there influence the outcome of the chapter; I kinda like the multiple chances at outcomes in a game like this. Though I also will be revisiting it in a second file so I can get the characters I missed and stuff... Still, pretty awesome game, lots of room for customization and unique playthroughs, glad I picked it up. Eager to check out the other games in the series, which I've already began emulating Shadow Dragon and have Heroes of Light and Shadow queued up for afterward.

 

Now that leaves Kirby's Dream Collection, Megaman Zero Collection, and Soulcalibur V...

Anyways I'm still working on M&L: DT and I'n on my way to mt.Pajama, I have to say I'm really loving this game except having to collect attack pieces to learn new bros skills <.<... Oh well I'll get over it soon.

Recently I have been playing SSBB and SMB2. Good games, And they are kinda old... hmm... the more I think about it, SSBB is kinda like SMB2 in a way....

Thats gotta be pretty damn awesome to have that, I'm jealous kinda... I'm sure it won't be as awesome as playing on the SD PS2

The HD version is supposed to be based on the (until now) Japan-only Final Mix version of the game. It should have a few new enemies and bosses that the original didn't have, as well as a couple minor additions to the plot.

 

I don't have a PS3, so I can't check it out for myself. When you get to the point when you see them, let me know if the Stealth Soldiers (I think that's their name) are as horrible to deal with as I've heard. I believe they hold synthesis items you need for this version's Ultima Weapon, but they're a huge pain to fight, deal pretty decent damage, are near impossible to hit, and run away if you take too long. Also, they attack in groups.
