After three attempts over the last year I finally finished the game and the master dome as well. Terrific game, DFW & Peteo, and I can tell that a lot of sweat and tears went into it. Just the ending alone must've been a bear to develop. The master dome wasn't as hard as I had expected, probably because I used the old approach of "enter a room, kill some enemies, leave, and reenter to find fewer and weaker enemies." Thanks for the many hours of fun!!!

heh, Maybe I should have ordered the first few enemies to be the most powerful so if you were to do that, you'd only be picking off the weak enemies and leaving the strong. Oh well, hindsight.

On a side-note, when I was beta-testing this, I forgot to mention the Scientology undertones I noticed in the game. I mean, a bunch of people trapped and killed in a volcano by an evil being, their spirits all floating up to the sky when freed? If that isn't a dig at Scientology, I don't want to know what it is if it isn't coincidence (even though Scientology kind of sucks!)! I am eagerly awaiting the sequel where these undertones continue, or the prequel starring the hero from the island's past whose name escapes me at the moment (yes, and I know the odds of either happening are slim and none).

Hi!

I downloaded the Lost Isle build and it always starts in windowed mode. I can hardly see the tiny screen and I can't figure out how to make it full-screen. I remember playing LI about a year ago and I didn't have this problem. I found some solutions for this but I'm not sure if they apply to the Lost Isle build.

If its Zelda Classic Launcher, than it should work. If you do it by editing the properties of a shortcut, thats universal to all ZC builds so far.

I'm having some problems with the Lost Isle Build. When I run it the screen flickers. I turn off Frame Throttle and it stops flickering, but the game runs really fast. How do I fix this?

Oh, I thought I was the only one with this problem. The only thing that helps for me is to play Lost Isle in a smaller window.

Hello DFW and Peteo, just playing this amazing quest again! icon_smile.gif I just beat lv. 2 and I am now exploring the overworld some more. I have just realized something did you get most songs from this game in Duke Nukem 3D. I was just playing it today and it just hit me. icon_ahha.gif Anyways, there is nothing else to play right now at the moment so I'm just waiting for more good quests to come out. icon_cheese.gif icon_cheese.gif

This quest is so Awesome. I remember when i was a n00b and played this then thought to myself how great this game is. Why did all our great god-like quest makers retired? Mr.Z, Peteo, You? Come back! Zelda classic misses you icon_lol.gif

I wish I could come back, I really do! icon_frown.gif

For many many years I have waited and prayed for a new stable version of ZC, but the developers aren't doing anything to get a new ZC out soon. The developers added so much unnecessary stuff to ZC that now it will never work, and I'm afraid that they will never be able to fix ZC.

Sorry for another doom and gloom post but I gotta admit I still love ZC and I wish I could be building quests. But thank goodness I have created 3 quests, and 2 of them are pretty good and popular so even if LI ends up being my last game, at least me and DFW went out with a bang.

And it makes me very happy to see that people are still enjoying LI even if they have beaten it, and every day new LI players pop up here and there. icon_smile.gif

And new youtube videos, go figure.
Although there are some party poopers like PurpleManDown who gave it a 1 star review on PureZC, I don't let it get to me. Why? Because for every one of him, there are 20 more who love the quest and several who have emailed either Peteo or me personally thanking us for this work. That makes it all worthwhile to me.

Perhaps it is best if these ZC stable version issues are kept out of upbeat topics such as ones about Lost Isle? icon_smile.gif

Better yet, off of PureZC so the staff won't be forced to deal with something we have absolutely no control over? Just saying. I admit I am pretty indifferent to the whole issue at this point, as I still love and enjoy ZC on 1.92 and 2.10, imperfections and all. Sure I don't understand every in and out of the matter, but I think that is probably for the best.

Why not ask for a specific build thingy like ya did with the quest?
