^^The reason why you own a Vita.

There's so much additional content in P4G that it's a completely different experience from the PS2 version. Though I gotta admit, they completely made Rise and Naoto broken in this version.

Working on Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones right now. I'm not sure if the game is easier or what, but I'm not having nearly the trouble that I had with the other FE installments I've played. I'm on Chapter 14 with pretty much a full team of top-promoted units, and so far, no chapter has really dominated me. We'll see if the difficulty picks up... I suspect it will. In any case, I intend to play hard mode after I'm done with normal.

I say Sacred Stones is the easiest and formerly the most non-linear (which is dethroned by Awakening) Fire Emblem game in the series. The story wasn't that great. It was cliched and predictable for the most part. But the one thing that sets this game apart is the Creature Campaign. It was highly addictive from what I have played all those years ago. I say Fire Emblem Awakening completely annihilates Sacred Stones.

So hey, Kid Icarus: Uprising's story actually kinda soared upwards and is quite good, though hasn't entirely shed some of the bad jokes and dialogue. Controls still give me cramps but I'm glad the story picked up, it's good to actually be able to enjoy the final chapters for some reason instead of just dragging through it to get it over with. Only two chapters left, I believe, then I can hang it up, but the sudden surge in good story has made me dislike it a little less.

In Mass Attack land, it still kind of drags, but the gameplay definitely picked up very well in worlds 3 and 4 with some unique and awesome levels. Now I have to find some "rainbow power" I think it was to unlock the final area and fight the final boss. Having tried one of these levels, I get the feeling it's going to be a pain.

Meanwhile, more Awakening. Everywhere. This game has devoured my soul.

Fire Emblem Awakening is one of my favorite games I've played in the last few years. I still haven't finished it (because I almost never finish anything) but I've enjoyed my time with it immensely.

^^The reason why you own a Vita.

I got a Vita when the price dropped last week and I was told by no less than six people to play this game. It's the first Persona game I've ever played and I've been doing nothing but gushing over how fresh it feels compared to many other RPGs since. I'm about 9 hours in now, but I know this is one I'll play through multiple times, trying out new things each playthrough.

I'm also playing Saints Row 4 which is absolute insanity. So much fun. Looking forward to Rayman Legends next week and I'll be picking up Madden 25 later today. I'm glad I get a break from new games through September then, it'll give me a chance to catch up a bit before all of the Zelda in October.

That was my first playthrough. Boy that was the best 70 hours ever!

As for Rayman Legends, I'm deciding whether to get the game on PC or on Vita. The reason why I might want the Vita version was for its portability and it has additional content.

Is it crazy that I managed to get about 130 hours of Persona 4? And then on Persona 3 fes I've been playing for 70 so odd hours <.<

I guess I'm slow at these games or something?

Persona 4 Golden's difficulty is much much easier than the original. Plus, gaining massive amounts of EXP is pretty much broken. That's because of the new shuffle system where you can pick multiple cards at once including EXP bonuses from Persona 3. And don't forget about Treasure Hands who give you WAAAAAAY more EXP than normal enemies.  In the original, I beat the final boss at Level 81. In Golden, I was very close to Level 99 when I beat the game.

Finished Kid Icarus: Uprising. That ended pretty well, I think. Some of Hades' dialogue still annoyed me, due to their insistence on sticking with his annoying mannerisms. Still, not one of the better 3DS games out there, not one of my favorites, and I'm kind of glad to be putting it away. It managed to salvage some favor with me, but not much. Hoping the next Kid Icarus game, if one ever happens, either improves the controls or makes the game play more similarly to the original game, just in 3D. Oh, and fewer obnoxious jokes and caricatures would be nice as well.

Meanwhile, I watched a Super Mario 3D World trailer earlier and I still think it'll be a good game so I played a little 3D Land for the heck of it... and got bored. Back to other games.

I just competed 3 episodes of Killer is Dead for PS3. It's a game made by Suda 51 who also developed No More Heroes 1 and 2 as well as Lollipop Chainsaw. So far, the game is pretty much what you would expect from a Suda 51 game. However the one thing I absolutely hate about the game are the Gigolo missions. It's not for the faint of heart and no way in hell am I uploading those missions on YouTube. It's probably one of the most offensive things I have ever seen in a video game. They should fire the person who came up with this stupid, unnecessary idea.

Finished off Kirby Mass Attack, which required me to find the rainbow medals hidden in every single level. Kind of... annoying. The last area was just a repeat of every world's boss fight, then you fought the final boss, which was... interesting but slightly underwhelming for a Kirby final boss. I feel like this game has a few problems, and while it's got a good graphical style fitting of Kirby and it can be quite adorable, I feel like in some ways it's lacking a bit of the heart of previous Kirby games. Still fun game, just tends to drag slightly. Not one of the better Kirby games but still enjoyable enough to try out, I think.

Now, this means all my time can be spent on Fire Emblem Awakening. I turned on the WiFi bonuses and recruited Marth to my team. Heh heh heh... I have even less of a life than I originally thought. >.>

My retro game sessions continue. This time, I'm still working on "Mother 3" using a version of Virtual Boy Advance for the Wii, and I'm playing "Guardian's Crusade", a PlayStation 1 game, for the first time using a Wii emulator called WiiSX. Unfortunately, the emulator's save function doesn't seem to work, so I'm having to rely on save states for actually saving the game. However, the way the controls are set up, a GameCube controller works surprisingly well. You hold down the Z button, and it turns L and R from L1/R1 to L2/R2. You also access the emulator menu by holding down Start and pressing X.

I've heard that the save states on the emulator have a tendency to fail, so I'm considering starting over on my PC's emulator instead, which will be a bit sad since my PC controller isn't as nice as my GameCube one.

Updating my play progress and listing off the new games I've bought at gamestop.

Persona 3; I haven't made any progress except hitting level 40 finally... this game is turning into a grind fest right now <.<

And the games I've bought

Shadow of the colossus (PS2)

Katamari Damacy (PS2)

The legend of Spryo: A new beginning (PS2)

The legend of Spryo: Eternal night (PS2)

The Bouncer (PS2)

Digimon World: Data Squad (PS2)

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (PS2)

Yeah I bought a lot games... I have to say though playing Shadow of the colossus is quite awesome, just the fact of slaying giant monsters is a rush.

I wonder is this the whole game just killing the Colossi and thats it and done? or is there more to this game then meets the eye?.
