But what exactly does losing motivation with ZC have to do with releasing the LI tileset? Just curious. I mean if you release that tileset, it probably will make a lot of people happy since there are people who really want it, plus it might motivate someone else to try and do as good as you and DFW.
But if the creator doesn't want to release it, why should they? It's Peteo and DarkFlameWolf's work, so they should have the final say about it.

The thing is they don't, I was just hoping maybe they would release it. "sigh" Oh well.

If you want a powerful tileset, you gotta make it. Use a base like DOR or Pure, or heck, even Newfirst, God knows it needs an update, and just build on top of it.

I'm getting exasperated trying to get the amulet. So it's two screens over and one up from the shop where I should let the hands get me, but which hand--there are 25-30? Seem to always go to the same place...

That will allow you to acquire the Golden Gauntlets (Level Two Bracelet) if I likewise remember correctly, which should allow you to gain access to the Plague Fortress to the north of the wastelands. The underground caverns themselves just contain useful items but I do not think are essential to progress through the wastelands.....

Sure it's got nice graphics, but is the difficulty really worth it? I have no idea where to go and half of the places are blocked by rocks or weird "eye blocks".
What really bugged me about Level 1 is the size. Not only did it take five minutes to get back to where I left off, I die too soon or the Wallmasters get me! Not only that, I keep having to drain the water which results in a boring cutscene. After adding up the number of times I drained the water after being sent back to the entrance, I watched that water draining for about 5 minutes in total!
The enemies are too hard, I have no idea where I'm going, and the levels are too big!
Edit: Okay, maybe that was a little harsh, but I'm in a really bad mood after making no progress for two hours.

As for the Whistle Hinsburg, you need to go to the Tahou Woods I believe it is in the north east corner of the island near Bhalstock Castle and look around in there after finding the Giant's Gloves in the lava flows; the gloves themselves are hidden in the flows in a cave beneath the huge Shekiah statue blocking access to Level Two, which is the mysterious portal you're seeing in the area and cannot seem to get to at the moment. You will not need anything in order to get to the glove save a lot of patience if you've already beaten Level One. If you still have the FAQ/Readme from downloading the quest and look at the maximum heart count possible at certain points in the quest, that will help you get an idea of where you should be at and believe me, having the maximum possible health available in this quest is greatly rewarded since enemies are indeed harder hitting earlier on in this quest than what you might be used to from a quest. By Level Two I think you should be at seven hearts and if you're not, you'd do well to get yourself there or you'll likely get massacred in that level.
Though the enemies hit hard and do not fall easily just be patient and don't rush in to attack, and try to use the terrain to your advantage, bottlenecking difficult enemies in places where they cannot attack you from multiple angles or surprise you. Also make liberal use of the bow on more resilient enemies while holding off on weaker ones that are more easily dispatched with the Wooden Sword to conserve ammunition since it isn't easy to come by early on in the quest. Lastly, did I mention patience? If you do not have this, then if you thought Level One was an exercise in frustration, Level Two is going to eat you alive. Another thing that can help when you get stuck or frustrated with something is to take a break every once in a while. Often this will help calm you down and it's usually easier to think and often results in a line of thought that will solve the problem you are having trouble with at the moment.....

Level 2 looks big. I managed to get to the dark side, but I kept dying, so I stopped playing.

Incidentally, I don't know if either of you saw my question in the Custom Quest Discussion or have been too busy to answer it which I'd understand what with having that pesky thing called life to manage, but if you'd be willing to give me some insight as to how you accomplished the opening prologue sequence DFW or Peteo, I'd greatly appreciate it. The speculation that I've gotten in response to my earlier post has been helpful in strengthening my suspicions of how it's done, but I'd like to hear from the horse's mouth so I can try to accomplish something similiar for a quest I'd like to try to start building at some point.....

Whoa, that actually helped a lot. I managed to find the gloves and then the ocarina in about twenty minutes. I also found a "triforce dungeon" and tried to get through that tomb in the graveyard, but I needed a second triforce piece. I looked for awhile but couldn't find one, so I just went on to level 2.

Hinsburg, I had put this game down twice before out of frustration, but now I'm well on the way to finishing it thanks to all of the help available in this thread. It's well worth it to take the time to read all of it, because it's a great game.
