Hey guys, just a small update to let you guys in on what's going on behind the scenes.

 

Lately there has been several issues regarding the accessibility of the Skype group. Several members have trouble accessing it or can't at all and obviously this is a huge issue that needs to be discussed thoroughly. We have been doing so, and we have been discussing solutions as to how we can go about fixing this. We've decided on a solution, but it hasn't been set to stone completely due to lack of proper communication for now. I'm sure they won't mind me spilling out some of the details on what's going on. More info on that later.

 

On a personal note, I want to thank all the active participants for making a relaxing environment. We haven't had to warn a single member at all, and it's relatively peaceful and quiet making this the perfect unofficial PureZC place for casual conversations. I also want to thank the other mods for various input, dedication and whatnot, some of their advice has been great. Speaking of which, if you have any suggestions (e.g more calls), or want to join the Skype group, post away in this thread or in PM. We're all willing to make this group as great as it can be. I have some personal ideas of my own, but we'll see after the aforementioned problem is resolved.

Seriously though, I'm really happy with how this group is turning out. It's so peaceful and relaxing, us mods almost never do anything but chat with everyone else. It's great!

 

But yeah, my suggestion to this group would be to have more calls. Calls are always the highlights of the group, and I love to voice chat with other members in the group. Hopefully we can get more of these going when the current problem is done with.

So regarding the issues I have brought up a few posts up, thanks to Nexas, we have confirmed the Skype group is outdated to the point of it causing serious issues such as lag and access issues. The only logical solution would be to shift participants to a new, updated group. We will take action fairly soon, so stay tuned for that. And regarding group calls, we might have a secondary Skype group dedicated for group calls only. This in mind, we will need some sort of system or rotation of sorts so that only 25 or less people are in there and we maintain the ability to start calls. We may or may not include rules for this group, so again, stay tuned for that as well. We will keep you informed!

 

The other mods have been fairly busy with other things, including myself, but we're working hard to get the PureZC Skype group improved and fixed.

This is why I think there needs to be a dedicated call group. That way those who don't want to be alerted won't be like "BOOP BOOP WANT TO JOIN THE CALL", and those who want one will be.
