Anyone into another speedrun tomorrow. Sorry for short notice. We normally do these on Saturdays, so....

 

I was thinking Zelda 1 or maybe even a ZC quest. I don't know, what do you guys think?

First time organising a race, here we go!

Anyway, since I'm back from Switzerland I am gonna decide to set up a race we can all try to take part in. Soooo, I was thinking we can all have a race on the15th of March, and I have a list of games we can do (one will be pretty long and several sessions will happen if needed, as long as everyone is fine with it)

 

So, I'll let you guys decide on which game we should race.

 

Here's the list of games:

• Zelda 2: Adventure of Link (NES) - 0 votes
• Zelda 1: 2nd Quest (NES/ZC) - 0 votes
• Zelda Randomizer Modern (ZC) - 1 vote
• Sonic Advance 1 (GBA) - 1 vote
• Sonic 3 and Knuckles (Sega Genesis) - 1 vote
• Zelda 3: A Link To The Past (SNES) - 0 votes
• digtherock.qst (ZC) - 0 votes*
• Pessimistic Pizza (ZC) - 0 votes*
• Ibuprofen (ZC) - 0 votes*

* I decided to include these games for the lulz but we can still do a race on them, however these are fairly quick games, therefore we will race something else right after (2nd place on the list if one of these hits 1st)

 

Timezones is an issue, and seeing how I'm the only Brit in the PZC Race Group, I will end up affecting the time of everyone else in the group, therefore I was thinking we could start both races at:

7pm GMT

Which converts to:

(2pm EST)

(1pm CST)

(11am PST)

Over in the US.

(Again, I need to make sure if this time is suitable for everybody, if everybody's fine with it, great! If not, I'll see if I can shift the times a little)

 

So, I'm giving you guys until 6th March to vote on which game we should race on. You can vote here, or on the PZC Race thread. On the 14th March, I will count up all the votes.

 

Rules will be discussed closer to the time we'll race.

I'll go ahead and vote for Zelda Randomized Modern. I have never beat modern, but I have beat classic a few times, and they are pretty similar. I have never beaten any of these other games besides A Link to the Past, but I don't feel like speed running it, as I would lose really badly. I have also (ready for Eddy's rage...) never played a sonic game.

I mean, eh it's no problem, I love Randomizer Modern so if that post wasn't mine, my vote would go to that.

Throwing in my vote for Sonic Advance. It was my first Sonic game and dang is it fun. S3&K could also be fun though, although it'd have to be a no chaos emerald run; Genesis emulators have a small amount of lag on my computer that makes the special stages all but impossible.

You know what I would like to see a race of? The first dungeon of Liberation of Hyrule: Yloh vs. James24.

I would say "Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness" race, but the game is obscure, and I've spedrun it, like, 10 times. ;~;

I might be up for something. I'd suggest Contra but I know that would destroy some of you. Maybe a Megaman game, off memory I would say 4 might be the easiest, though I'd have to play it again to be sure. 1, 2, and 5 I know would be terrible for races, so it'd have to be 3, 4, or 6 I think. Other than that, I dunno, we could do ALttP races, we haven't done one of those yet have we? If we have well who can blame me for forgetting, it's been a while.
