Regarding the stream issues, as an act of due diligence, I did look online to see if other OBS/Twitch users have been encountering the same issues and was provided with a suggestion. By default, OBS set me to use the Twitch server located in San Francisco. A couple of other midwestern OBS users suggested the issue could be that I'm therefore running my stream on a server where it's 6:30pmish, meaning its in peak traffic. I was recommended to switch to the Chicago or one of the east coast servers to see if things improve, which I'm going to try and do. I still feel the issues I'm having are driven by Comcast, but I'll try this just as part of a process of elimination, if nothing else. So, fingers crossed, tonight will go better.

I've updated the first page, but also wanted to make a special note that Monday stream start times might be shifted around and/or Monday streams might be cancelled on some days. I'll keep everyone posted in this thread. As an aside, we're going to be trying Mega Man 1 again on Monday. My plan is I will start the game itself over again, but I'm not going to redo the intro discussion. So hopefully we can make some good progress on that. Wednesday will be Metroid XL-75 and Evan will be joining for that, but after this week, CZC will start having other guests on stream. I think it'd be fun to try and change up who's hanging around each week so that should be fun.

 

Thursday is Battleblock Theater, which should be an absolute blast. Keep in mind that the start time is earlier, at 8:30pm EST for that one.

Also, there's been a few people that have had issues with the streams ranging from severe delays, to it turning into a slideshow, to it outright not loading. As such, I'm thinking about doing a trial week on Hitbox, possibly next week. I'll also bring it up on stream to get some people's views on it, but at this point it might improve the overall performance. I know Eppy has had pretty good results with it, so I think it's worth looking into. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I'd say to give Hitbox a try, at least. Twitch is generally terrible, and your stream seems glitchier than most (I always get all sorts of weird graphical things, and it's basically unwatchable when I'm at school for some odd reason). If it doesn't work out, you can always just switch back to Twitch.

Actually, based on some feedback on Twitter, I have an idea I might try first. I can try running 2 instances of OBS and have a hi-fi and lo-fi version of the stream running. People having issues with one can try to watch on the other. I think I'll try this next week.

So that could get around the Twitch problem quite nicely, but on the other hand, this is basically begging Comcast to come in and start screwing stuff up. At the very least, this will be an interesting experiment.

Metroid XL-75 sure was a breath of fresh air. The levels of innovation in that quest still allow it to stand the test of time, and I stand by what I said, if you've never played it, you owe it to yourself to do just that.
