Wii U is my favorite next generation console.

Wii Who?

Oh yes, yes! That Gamepad machine that not even Nintendo wants to build games that actually uses it. Go away Gamepad, not even Nintendo likes you anymore. :)

Last but not least, everybody complains about not being able to play Xbox One without a stable Internet connection, but yet nobody realizes the wii u needs a stable working Gamepad, the enemy of kids between 1 and 6. That piece of shit is so fragile compared to the INTERNET!!!! Nintendo loses, I wouldn't pay them a dime to replace the Gamepad just to play games.

Japan has never been a big market for the XBox.  Most people over there don't actually care for it.  To them, Japan isn't even a drop in the bucket.

Maybe not, but it's also a sign we probably won't be seeing many, if any, Japanese games, localized or not, such as JRPGs or whatever else if they can't even have the OPTION of getting the console over there.  The gaming market in Japan in itself is HUGE.

@Shane

Just because the discussion about something happens to be in a negative light due to its poor reputation, that doesn't disqualify it as discussion.  Think about the CDI Zelda games.  It's general consensus that the games are horrible, so when a thread revolving around them forms, it's only natural to expect people to talk about how bad the game is.  Either you made a thread and expect there to be many people who are on the opposing side, or don't make a thread at all.  You can't have it both ways.

Well for starters, you called out people who aren't actually one sided in this "discussion" thread. Pretty sure they know the Xbox One has various flaws and it's rather stupid of Microsoft since they are mostly unnecessary and they most likely know it to. Plus, everything has pros, CDI Zelda games have a good soundtrack (IIRC). Everything is bound to have a positive, but I think everyone is just discussing -- if not overacting -- about the negatives. The only real big down side for me is:

1. Not being able to share a game normally.

2. Microsoft attacking Wii U.

3. Xbox One being limited to few countries.

I think people are literally making it sound like it's an abomination to gaming and should die ASAP the way people constantly call it dead in the water and starting the end of the gaming industry when in reality it's just a console that just had been directed on the wrong road, Nintendo, Sony etc all hit that road (in their defense though, not even as bad as the Xbox One) and are bound to mistaken this road again, even Microsoft... Who knows maybe Microsoft's next console won't be so bad after noticing how unnecessary their features really are.

Shane, I find Koh's statement to be fairly reasonable, and I do agree with him. I feel his message has been misunderstood.

Threads can get emotionally heated against or in favour of the content in which the thread is about, and in my humble opinion, most of every argument in these threads are almost purely biased.

But who ever claimed the human race would be perfect and right? Who could possibly assume that arguments made online in a message forum or anywhere in that matter would not have some level of bias? I could rant about a particular subject in 20 forums, and though I may get 20 supporters, at least 5 will call me out as a hater.

I'm not going to lie, I did overact somewhat. I kinda felt as if Koh tempted to lure in people who were unsure if Xbox One was really what people crack it up to be, I may have interpreted his post the wrong way in which I apologize for. I'm totally okay with discussing and pin pointing the flaws and I acknowledge that Xbox One has many if not more than any console has ever before. Perhaps worst console of all gaming. But I'm reserving it until I see it in action, in spite of Microsoft being a bunch of asses to everyone really. And I honestly prefer Wii U and PS4 over Xbox One.

@NoeL
As for the first link...who cites 4 chan?  Like seriously, that's even WORSE than citing Wikipedia in your school paper.  Any validity that that post would have had was immediately lost for me.

:odd2:

... the "leak" was originally posted to 4chan. He's citing the primary source.

EDIT: More info to discredit the leak:

Each person is limited to one copy, so game prices can drop since companies don't have to mark up the price to compensate for used game sales.

I'd made the point elsewhere (maybe not on this forum) that if they'd planned to have cheaper games it would have been announced at E3, since that's a winning move. The fact they didn't meant, to me, that even if this model was set up to bring more cash in for publishers they still wouldn't mark down the prices. And it just so happens that not even their first party games will be cheaper than the competition.

Fairly disappointed in the Xbox One. I usually have a slight interest in all consoles, but I have absolutely none for this.

I've said it before and I've said it again:  There's absolutely nothing wrong with trying to improve DRM to stop (or at least detain longer) pirates.  However, when those systems get in the way of the actual game console and the act of playing the games themselves, you've got a major problem that defeats the entire purpose.

As for those prices....seriously, that's how high they've been?  I never noticed, because I didn't have any consoles from last gen (except the Wii, but that was a gift).   Who pays almost $100 for a single game?  That's like, 4+ PC games right there.

Great job MS for lying to your consumers at E3 when your games were running on GTX 700 series PCs instead of an Xbox ONE.

This isn't too uncommon in the gaming world.  I remember some pre-E3 XBox 360s were actually Mac Pros.  Since the console isn't 100% finished, they show off stuff using dev kits.

But I don't think a devkit needs such an overpowered graphics chip.  It's like they have zero confidence in their own console's capabilities and/or are saying it can't reach the same level as PC graphics, which is true anyway, but still.

Ehem...

Also, I'm surprised nobody has bitched about Microsoft using Windows 7 PCs to demo their Xbone games rather than the actual hardware. But before anybody does, know that that is kind of standard practice anyway.

It's not a huge deal - this happens all the time. There are rumours they're having trouble with the hardware, which would explain a lack of finished products on the showroom. So they'll either have that sorted out in a few very short months or they'll do what they always do - rush an unfinished product to market and pay out the arse fixing RROD'd consoles. I think the 360's RROD cost them like 2 billion dollars in warranty honouring. Insane.

Didn't have a chance to read all the previous posts. :P

I think the problem with this situation is how Xbox ONE's GPU is based on an ATI Radeon 7000 series mid range GPU's when these PCs are running on a high powered GTX 700 series GPUs. That may be a concern to consumers if games would perform properly on an Xbox ONE compared to these super high-end GPUs.

You know I'm pretty surprised I would've thought that the demos was running on the real hardware.

The XBone is based on AMD hardware, while the demos was being run with a Nividia GTX 780.

I bet the games will nowhere look as good as they did...

And to have the OS of the computers running it to be Windows 7 is just plain old funny.

It shows even Microsoft doesn't even love their own windows 8. :lol:
