I like the palette and concept. But I don't really dig the variety of house tiles and the mountain design. Speaking of mountains, the two mountain sets in this map have different perspectives. One or the other please as perspective really makes the design more fluid in my opinion. Good job though, keep improving. icon_wink.gif

Well as I said it's older, but I'll go to one concept then thanks ! And far as house tiles though for tree homes, not a lot to offer icon_razz.gif

True enough, but if I only used 1 or two types I'd feel it were too simple, I wish It didn't look bad !

WARNING
Work in progress

Here is the beginning of the central field area of my quest. It's still VERY early in development, but it's getting along. I'm having some design problems here and there, but nothing to major.

Looks like a good start. I bet it'll look a lot better when some sprites are on it (Link, enemies, and the like). I've never been a big fan of the transition between those style palm trees and ground. I think they make the tree trunk look two-dimensional, almost like a sticker. Others may disagree.

Thanks. And It does look better when playing each screen individually. I agree with you on the palm trees. The trunks don't have much depth in them. And it does look kinda like a sticker icon_razz.gif

This is the field, excavation site and eastern coast areas of Perlar's Quest. Here you can find Level 1(top right of fenced-off area), Level 2(top left) and the Temple of Time(on the brown mountain), where you get the Master Sword(which is actually the White Sword). In the gray tent you will get the first piece of story in the quest. To the west is a blue forest and an snowy mountain.(I showed it earlier in this thread.) To the east is an ocean, a castle and a gigantic mountain. It's WIP, so some places are rather empty.

No one comented on this one yet, so I thought I should post it again.

View->View Map. Select the "Full" resolution, then check the box that says "Export image file" or something like that. The map will be saved to your ZC folder.

Thanks Russ.

Here is my map for the Casual Forest. It is like the Lost Forest, but different, as it it isn't very confusing. It is small, but i think it is good.

What a nice looking classic forest. I enjoy the open flow the area has, and balance. Good work

I've been working on this LttP-esque stuff.

This is amazing! Love the layout and colors. Only dislikes are the "big" (upscaled) bushes and stones, it feels wierd to have those in classic.
