Oh I forgot one:

Stumble Upon/Tumblr - While I have nothing against these themselves, I just don't understand what all the popularity is about. If you want to do something when you're bored, instead of wasting precious time wandering around aimlessly on the internet, go do something productive, like drawing, making a game, accomplishing homework, or whatever else o-o;.
Stumble isn't about wasting time, it's about finding new things o.o

I've found some absolutely fantastic tutorials, both on writing and game design (including pixel art). I dare say that was not time wasted icon_razz.gif

So I thought about this for quite a while and I think my only answers are

Facebook: I have literally little to no interest in Facebook. I made an account once to unlock something in a game, and never touched it since. This also includes MySpace.com from way back then. Though I actually did have friends and whatnot on MySpace. I haven't touched it in like ages, and when I did, it was very little. Facebook, I only touched once and that was to create an account so I can get something in a game. I also didn't even use a real first and last name for it.

Most Memes: Quite the opposite, I hate Chuck Norris jokes. I dislike Over 9000 jokes. I dislike "That's what she said" jokes. There might be more but those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head that I dislike the most.

Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head.

My thoughts exactly. I dislike things, too, but why do we need this Official Hate and Complain Thread?

I'm pretty sure we've been told several times to stop discussing our opinions of this thread. Just sayin'.

I would also like to point out that we should stop discussing the status of this thread. It never helps it get on the right track. In fact, most of the time, it makes a topic worse.

Well, there's a pro and con to ALMOST everything, and this is one of those things. Sure, it can help you find interesting things related to your interests, but many people mostly use it just to pass time in a lecture class or something icon_shrug.gif.

Well, in that regard I agree: you should not use it to waste time when said time is in, say, a class, but you can't live your entire life and be productive for every single second of it. The same goes for YouTube, Facebook and not to mention games. But Stumble is a great tool that can be used for much more than just passing time. Though it's truly awesome at that as well icon_razz.gif I mean, I use it. But yeah, I totally agree, you shouldn't be wasting time in class on anything but class-related things. Though if it was against the law to to just that I'd be in prison because I never did anything class-related in class XD

What's this? A general b****ing thread? Hot damn!

...Is what I was originally going to say, but then I realized, you know what? There isn't a whole lot that I dislike. I honestly feel like anything I would say would be nitpicking way to much. I have a strange quality, it seems, that I end up enjoying anything I watch/see/play/do/whatever. I'm not sure if it's unhealthy or not. icon_unsettled.gif

Now, I could list the types of people that I don't like, but that probably wouldn't end well. icon_razz.gif

One of simplest conversations you can have with people is over stuff you like, and things you dislike. In real life, discussing things that bug the s*** out of you and finding someone who is also annoyed by it can help bring people together and provide wonderful inside jokes. None of the arguments thus far have really been flames, just people trying to bring up that some people are writing stuff off, or having strong opinions, on stuff they don't fully understand yet. It's actually a pretty good discussion thus far imo. Kudos to the mods for not shutting this down icon_smile.gif

As for BEER, it's a situational intoxicant. You feel like fluid and have a hard time concentrating on more than like, two things. For parties, it's great. All the inside voices that usually tell you that: no, you should not dance, go away. People are also a lot more honest, which makes for great revelations that are long overdue.

If you don't like the taste, cheer up! For one I don't think you can even taste what you're drinking after beer three, but regardless there are sooo many breweries out there. If you don't like Pabst, try something else! There's a lot of options out there. Beer's a required taste, for sure, but I promise you that taste is not the reason it's caught on so well with the entire human race.

I rather share love for things with other people than hate. And I'm strongly convinced that postive emotions will always outrule the negative ones. Thus I try keep away from "ganging up" on something for the sake of bonding. I do it sometimes, but usually only when I have an interest in someone's sympathy (it's an easy way to win people over) but as long as only I am concered I focus my engery rather on things I like than on things I dislike. That is all.

What, my post was unnecessary, unsatisfying to read, perhaps not entirely well-intentioned, and totally and utterly honest - it's completely in keeping with the spirit of the thread.

... Or maybe that's my post history I'm thinking about?

Either way, I'd bet that a thread about things we like wouldn't have gotten so many replies so quickly. This one, therefore, receives my mild contempt due to its popularity - it's good thing we have a thread where I can talk about that!

Create a thread like that, then. I'd post in it. Not sure why people get so....UNCOMFORTABLE....about anything with even mildly negative connotations (like this thread).

Now here's my number one pet peeve (and it actually IS popular with most other people)

Patriotism- Seriously, every country in the world is, was, or will be an international jackass. None is better than the other. That THING (whatever it is) you're just tickled pink over? The one you think your country did first or best? Chances are it's been done before and will someday be done again.

Yeah. Nationalism urks me horribly.
