Robin yelled at me in Skype last night for using those mountain tiles so I pretty much tore that entire screen apart (and that area for the matter)

although I will say that water on the side now seems a bit stupid having there because it's only one tile wide and it's just the shoreline

I do have to say, that the screen is looking much better now. Sometimes one has to completely rebuild a screen to get it looking great, which is how that one is looking. Your second screen is looking rather wonderful too! Great stuff Taco_Man!

Hubydweyer: Much better icon_biggrin.gif However that rock now seems a bit unnatural. You dont have to take all the space with it. You can use trees, or barrels, etc. Do as you wish icon_wink.gif

ok? the openness suggests you can go down and left. whats your problem with it anyway?
edit: Ok I change it. better?

Hate to be a Debby Downer, but the way you're transitioning (or rather not transitioning) between diagonal and straight mountainsides looks totally wrong. I'm pretty sure there's a tile you should be using between them.

Northern path, Link can get trapped in a tree if he hugs the left wall.

It's kind of empty, add some floor and wall detail. The room shape is good though.

Work in progress screens showing the World Tree overworld. Note this is using a fullscreen Z3 scrolling script, similar to Ancient, with an empty subscreen. Similar to Zelda 2, these screens won't need to display a subscreen but various information will show up on screen as needed.

The forests and deserts are solid in these views, but you can enter and exit them - which takes you to a sidescrolling outside area. Note that some larger things you can find inside an area, such as buildings, are represented on the overworld screen - such as the Tower in the upper right forest and the ruins in the desert.

I love this, a lot. I'm pleased to see this is Z3 scroll. Those tiles are superior. However, I feel the ground green palette should be slightly toned down, and somewhat crispier.

I don't know how this room is in relation to the rest of the dungeon but I feel red carpets leading off the sides of the room would complete it.

Thanks, Gonken.

Fun Fact: It started out as a volcano screen.
