There is only one direction to go, north. Don't worry if some trees seem very off.

I dislike the screen design (A bit too cramped) But if you are remaking an oracle game that is the fault of the oracle games themselves
The tileset looks great though

Yes, it is a very crammed screen. My example shots are unplayable, rather, a show of what is possible. Soon enough there will be more palettes, detail tiles, and completion that I will show another shot.

Did I mention this is all in 8-bit?

Whoa... I absolutely love that tileset you're making! I thought I was the only one trying to improve the GB tileset. You have just inspired me to step up my game. Now mine looks rather bland and empty. Would you mind if I used your pictures to try to learn a bit more on texturing? So far, I've only been using solid blocks of color, and I would like to try to texture my cliff walls to look more like rock.

EDIT: Just noticed, the rock wall on the right side of your screen uses the wrong tile. You need the one that has an open bottom where you can see the ground under that curve.

Diggin' the house screen. It's simplistic, and flows swell. The second shot, is below par, though. The trees should use more color, and the back hill shouldn't be so flat.

yeah, it's the first time I've used ZC since February, so I'm still working my way back into it... I did take your advice though and I've recoloured some of those trees red, and added a protuding cliff where that water trough was.

I think this is looking pretty good, with the modifications you've done. Detailed nicely, and everything. Perhaps put some rocks, or trees up on the ledge though, as it seems a little bare with just grass up there. icon_smile.gif

Trying out some new flowers. I wanted some that were subtler than LttPs but could be used alongside them.

I like it. Quite a lot, actually. Only thing I'm not very fond of at all is the palette. Might I suggest something that looks a little more sunburned? It seems to be a dry area with all that dirt and dead trees. How about something like this? (It's fully useable, I've took the extra minute to change the grass colours for CSet 3 and 4 as well as all the browns and some of the other colours.)

I think the new flowers will work out nicely, but I do need to agree with Yoshimi, about the palette. Green seems to be a bit on the strong side.

icon_lol.gif Wow, I thought this was a completely different screen, but it's a recolor of Saffith's screen. This looks like it would work out greatly, but really depends on what the area is meant to be I'm sure. icon_smile.gif
