I'll think about fixing it. It just seems like there's no room at the moment, so it's what I had to do at the time. I'll look into it.

I read this stuff, btw guys. I don't not see it xD

This looks great. I really love the feel of this screen! Nice palette used, and even though it's a simple layout, it works really well!

Nice, crisp and clean and you (unintetionally) used a little-known trick in DoR to make it as if you used new floor tiles underneath the borders when you really used existing tiles. I don't think it needs any more detail or any of that matter.

GB screens. In prep for SotW, again. I can't decide wherether which screen has the correct stairs setup. Which one's got the correct stairs setup?
I like this screen Orin. The bottom one is the one I prefer out of the two though. Good work.

Absolutely love it Jared! This whole area feels really good. Nothing about it bothers me in the least. Awesome!

I'm not sure exactly what it is, but something about the grass colors look off to me. I think instead of just being different shades of the same green, they are different places on the color wheel. Now normally I think this is good, but it may have gone a little too much so? As in the accent green has too much blue, or something. I can't pinpoint what feels wrong. Other then that, good map.

FefeRawft, that map is exceptional! It flows like an actual Gameboy Zelda game would, but set up to be more pleasing to the eyes. Great work!

Continuing in the same idea as my last shot. Sorry about the lack of subscreen and the lack of Link, I'm just trying to get a feel for Zelda Classic again.

Any comments or criticism are welcome.
I like this screen HollowKnight! A nice dark feel in a wintry shot. Very enjoyable screen!

Those palettes are amazing, Theryan! They fit surprisingly nice for Classic, too!

Update!

I finished the map for now, as you can tell by the far right, I'm not done, but I won't need to add any screens for a while. I feel like the main village doesn't look as nice as the rest of the map. Also, ignore the straight line of trees on the far left, I'll eventually fix that up, but I just want to get far enough to release a demo for now.

These are all wonderful palettes, and do fit quite well with the Classic tileset! icon_biggrin.gif Great work! My favorite being Rockville, but really, it's hard to choose which I like the best. icon_lol.gif

This area looks quite good to me. It's set up quite nicely, and detailed just right, not too much, not too little. icon_smile.gif

I like this a lot, It is designed well, but see if you can do something about the mountain to the bottom-right. It doesn't look very good with the big open empty dirt above the mountains, maybe reduce the size of the mountain itself.

@ Theryan: Very strong classic tileset palettes, although the first of the four seems to me (mind you, my opinion in this matters is very amateur) to be a bit faded green. In other words the olive-brown rocks seem decent in and of themselves, but paired with the grass and bushes (also very well done), the screenshot seems to repel for a second before I can actually focus to see how well designed the palette is. I suppose that my complaint is more for the screenshot than the palettes, which, once again, I greatly approve of. I apologize if this sounds more critical than I intended.

@ Jared: *Stops for minute* Whoa! It is beautifully designed, enough said. (I wish I could design like that.)

@ FefeRawft: very colorful. I like color in a map, and your palette and choice of gameboy graphics is a nice wake-up to start playing and keeping playing.

It's not done yet, I will be exanding in that direction eventually, so I didn't want to make it detailed if I would just have to redo it when I come back to this map.

The walls form a rectangular room. It looks like a real dungeon. We don't like realistic dungeons in these parts. We like dungeons with funky heart shaped roomsAnd whatnot. Realistic dungeons are almost as boring as realistic deserts. Otherwise, I see nothing wrong here.

Subscreen could use some work.

It almost seems as though this needs to have a bit more gloomy theme or something too it. It really does seem a bit too cheery to be a sewer room. icon_shrug.gif Just saying...
