Stuck in Level 4.
I got te key from the Bombtorok, the map, and the compass.

Now, how do I get to the stupid Chip?! This is driving me crazy! (not as much as level 3 and those Ice blocks...)

You want the chip? How far have you gotten in the Laboratory, or have you even found the laboratory yet? Now that you have one key, you have to find your way through the lab and get to the roof of the building where there is a big chest and in that chest is the Chip.

Never mind. Found the Lab, but now stuck. I can't get to a 1---0 switch to turn off a laser. I also heard there is some key card thing, which is taunting me far away from where I am now. Help please!

The laboratory is a seperate building outside of the main facility. You do not need gates 3 or 4 down to reach it. You need to turn off power at least once I believe to access a few areas on the upper level of the main facility so you can open some shortcuts, then turn power back on, and explore the upper level and exit out of the facility near the laboratory. Sorry my directions are awful, but that's the general idea.

Wolfie? What the heck are you talking about? He needs help in the lab, not in the fortress itself. icon_eek.gif

Anyhoo, in the lab, you have to find the power control room that is hidden behind an out of order computer screen (go a few screens up and one right from the entrance and bomb the blank screen).

Yay! Thank you so much! I'll be able to find my way through this awesome game now!

Fighting mini boss with death laser. I know I need to attack after the laser, but it is very hard. I think I'll look for triforce pieces to get a doom sword!

Good idea. I left level 4 half way through to get that sword too. icon_smile.gif

Yeah, but after going through that maze called Triforce dungeon 2, I sorta gave up. I got 1, 4, 6, and 5, in that order. Now I want to find the gate opener to #3, but I can't find it. I got the chip, and got that key from cheating around the chest, but now I can't find the boss key. solved the MI puzzle, that was fun. I also went to lvl 5, but I was blocked with spikes. Now I need the way to gate opener #3.

---EDIT!!!---

Messed around in Tri dungeon 3 and got the piece! also got hero's bow, but now that depleted my funds greatly. Now, could anyone PLEASE post a how to on getting Tri piece #2!!! I tried mapping it out, but with all the warps, I could spend hours in there! Please, pretty please help? PPLLEEAASSE??

Ahh... Tri Dng #2 is very confusing indeed. I could make a video of it in a couple of hours so you can see how it is solved. icon_smile.gif It's really tough to type the diretions and instructions...

EDIT!!!!!

Here's the video: http://www.youtube.c...8KCWP9r0&fmt=18

Yes, that cheat around the chip chest bug is a bad one indeed. lol Oh well, people are definitely employing the cheat. I bet if we updated Lost Isle and took it out, people would start complaining because they now are forced to find that second key! lol

Alright, here goes nothing guys (and girls).

First off, I love this quest. It is definitely top-notch, high-quality stuff. The world is enormous, filled with narrow twisting passages, and tons of hidden items on the overworld and caves. It definitely feels like a true Zelda game. Kudos to you both.

Though, that might not mean much, since I'm still stuck in Level 1. I have the Raft and Compass but I cannot, for the LIFE of me, find the damn Map. I'm assuming it's in a blatantly and totally obvious place and I'm probably just completely overlooking it because I'm thinking too much about it. I just got the Raft so I'm assuming once I play with water levels and Raft docks some more, I'll get the Big Key. I'm just mildly annoyed at myself for not having the Map. Being a long-time Zelda fan, it's rather embarrassing having to admit that I can't find what is generally accepted to be the first "dungeon item" you get in the very first dungeon. :\

Anyway, I was also somewhat curious if there's any sort of "walkthrough" out anywhere, or maybe even Spoiler Dungeon Maps with rooms and item locations. I dunno. I know Wolf and Petoe give out tips and hints, along with other members (I've been following the thread for a while and finally got enough time to download ZC and LI itself) but it'd be pretty nice to have all the info in one place instead of having to sift through... 122 pages icon_eek.gif

Well, that's about it. I have a very strong feeling that I'll be frequenting this thread alot more while playing the game. icon_biggrin.gif

Edit: Beat it first, then went back and finally found the Map. Who'da thunk it'd be on the bottom floor? icon_rolleyes.gif Love it.

Edit2: Is it possible to get the Lv 2 Sword before I go to Dungeon #2? Some of the enemies in the caves with Heart Pieces tear me to shreds. The Power Glove cave's enemies destroyed me until I blew all my arrows killing the creatures.

Welcome to PureZC, waynec02. icon_smile.gif

It is true that in Nintendo's Zelda games the map is usually the first item found in a dungeon, but in Lost Isle it is usually the compass, and maps can be found a little later because they are pretty detailed and give out so much info. But I'd be annoyed too if I didn't find a map from the level so I understand your frustration. icon_biggrin.gif Glad that you finally found it.

Unfortunately there isn't any maps or walkthroughs on the internet for this quest, many people have hinted that they would love to do a walkthrough but I haven't seen anything yet. And both Wolfie and I are so busy with other stuff that we don't have the time to write a walkthrough, but there are many helpful videos at Youtube I have made, and in my opinion a video tells more than a thousand words. Though you should probably be careful with the videos since they contain some spoilers...

Arrows are your best friend for now because you cannot get the 2nd sword before you get the Power Rod from Level 2 and then with the Rod you can get the Candle from Dasa Woods and then finally with the Candle you can get to the 2nd sword.

Yeah, I saw that you needed the Candle to get through the branches next to the castle (that spoiler map is SO helpful). Just wondering if there was any other way to do so.

I'd love to do some maps or a walkthrough but I wouldn't really know where to start. I think I'll just ask for tips here, instead. icon_biggrin.gif

Speaking of tips, I tried to run through "Cave E" to get that Mirror Shield and managed to get all the way through but didn't find the shield at all... is it possible to get it where I am in the game now?

Before level 2? Probably not. You can get the mirror shield halfway through level 4 once you get the rod chip. So don't expect it until then. The mirror shield is well hidden in that cave.
Not many people write walkthroughs because the quest is so massive and complex, it'd be confusing to do so. But there are a lot of Youtube videos out there on the net by either Peteo or Bowser Blanchette which give away a few Lost Isle stumpers.
Anyway, enjoy the rest of Lost Isle, the ending boss fight and final sequence alone is worth the price of admission.

Ah, okay. Thanks Wolfie. I noticed it was pretty well hidden, after getting through the first couple of rooms and saying to myself "uhh... let's just plow through the rest and see how that goes". I'll go after that later. It's just annoying having the Lv 2 Shield abruptly stolen by a Grasp icon_neutral.gif

I quite agree; the quest is huge. It would definitely be a daunting task to try and write a walkthrough for it. I thought I put that in my previous post but I guess not. I wish this game were more well-known outside of the ZC community, it would probably give a good GameFAQs walkthrough writer something new and fun to explore and write about.

Got a few new questions, anyway.

First off, the "are you fast enough?" game where you push the block and make it through the field. How do I reset the puzzle so I can play it again? Or can I even reset it? I'm probably not supposed to get the HC piece until I get the ladder and go over those two holes but every time I try the game anyway, I don't even get a "ha, you suck!" message at the end. I hope I didn't mess up by trying it before I was supposed to...

Numero dos: in Triforce Dungeon 1, I got past the second maze without help but... what do I do here?

IPB Image

I've tried going 4 left, 5 up, 1 right... all different combinations of that. I've tried 1 right, 2 up, 3 right, 4 up (due to the E N E clues from previous rooms) but still can't get it. I see there's a 1, 2, 3, and 4 block "packages" but I can't seem to figure out how it relates to directions... does it have anything to do with the 3 different tiles and single torch at the bottom? A hint or tip first, then if I still can't figure it out, I'll cry a bit (not really) then ask for the direct answer. I do like how each Triforce Dungeon has its own theme/gimmick though, neat idea.

Last, I noticed in a previous post by Wolfie in this thread (yay search feature!) that you should have 7 1/4 HCs before venturing into Level 2 dungeon. Problem is, I've only got 6 3/4 HCs. I was fairly sure I'd gotten all of them I could (using the spoiler map) but apparently not. Can someone point out which ones I could potentially get at this point? I'm still not sure whether the "are you fast enough?" game counts at this point or not, btw.

Also, sorry for asking for so much help. icon_mad.gif But it says alot about the quality and fun factor of the game that I want to get everything possible, it's what I tend to try and do with all Zelda games.
