You mean it's a little prettier? I never heard about a remaster.
Either way Skyrim's not a game that appeals to me.
It was revealed... uh... when was that again... sometime this year? Last year? I dunno... But yeah. It was announced for XB1 and PS4. Seems Nintendo's getting a piece of it as well. At least, I hope it's the Remaster.

I'm pretty sure it was at Bethesda's E3 conference this year.

> People mistaking this as a Wii U add-on.
I just... What?? In any case, the Switch looks amazing! Playing Breath of the Wild on the go? What more could I possibly ask for right now? (Also Sony copying Switch in 3... 2... 1...)

If the Switch is the successor to BOTH the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS, imagine how an 8th Generation Pokemon game will look like?

It'll depend on how much storage space a cartridge can have. If they have like, a 100 GB cartridge for example, the graphics could be as good as the system itself can handle. But if the cartridge is only like, 10 GB, corners will need to be cut to have enough space for everything else. Think about it like early NES games like Zelda 1, which was very bland looking and had little cartridge space, compared to later NES games like Crystalis, which had more overworld detail, bigger sprites and more cartridge space.

There was that one mockup that I liked. Amazing how close the final one is.

I feel like I'm copy/pasting my thoughts now.
Anyways, I feel this is probably the coolest looking thing Nintendo has ever done. It looks really sharp and quite modern. It doesn't look childish, and this of course leads right to Nintendo's core issue. People see it as a children's company. It's still Nintendo. lol It's not Apple, Microsoft, or Sony, despite it's desperate attempts at being some kind of tablet/console hybrid.
I have to say I approve with what they did here, but this is coming from a person who believes they didn't do a bad job with the Wii U from this same perspective.
But it's about the games, and unfortunately, 3rd party support still probably won't jump on this, just like they haven't really put many things great on the Wii, and we all know about the Wii U.
Bottom line, thing will come out expensive and underpowered like the Wii U, won't get 3rd party, they'll get confused as to what to establish themselves as, and then go back to the drawing board.
I'll just decide to remain skeptic now until we see what the real world results of this thing are, and I don't mean just "sales", I mean games, because games should be exactly what a video game console should market to the video game consumer.

And one other thing! NO GLOSSY FINISH! Thank you Nintendo! Glossy hardware can go home!

It better be! That's the only thing I care about. If half of the good library is Japan Only, I want to be able to import and play, without having to buy a Japanese console too.

If this thing is supposed to be the sucessor to both the Wii U and 3DS, meaning there will be no handheld console, i'm honestly kind of pissed. It means i have to spend more money if i want to play Pokemon or the other games that would have come out for the handheld because it will most likely be as expensive as a home console and handhelds are always cheaper than the home console. Last Nintendo home console i actually cared about was the Gamecube and the only reason i bought a Wii was because my old Gamecube went to shit and i found a cheap Wii on Ebay.
If there's going to be an actual sucessor to the 3DS, meaning handheld only, then the problem above won't exist.

And dat Mario. Could they be returning to am sm64/ sms hub based game?
I also really like the controller, and really everything about the design. It looks really sleek, and cool.
The only bad thing is I'm sure the battery life might not be the greatest, but it looks like it will have its own charger if that's what the guy on the air plane plugged in, but those might have been headphones.
