I watched the direct about 3 hours after it originally aired, and was pretty upset when preorders for the limited edition new 3DS were already sold out. But then, an opportunity popped up for me, and I've got one preordered! Just keep checking back, and maybe you'll get lucky, too.

As much as I would love to get it. I am a lowly poor college student and really cannot afford to drop 200+$ on a new system when I have one that is working, even if it is the previous generation (3ds xl )I watched the direct about 3 hours after it originally aired, and was pretty upset when preorders for the limited edition new 3DS were already sold out. But hey, I have a paid co-op coming up this summer so maybe I can get one then, if not get the new 3ds and a skin to go with it

My financial situation's pretty tight, too. And I don't mean "tight" in the old slang way that means "cool," either.
Buying stuff like this is pretty unlike me. But Majora's Mask is in my top 3 games of all time, and I figured this was an opportunity that wouldn't come again. Also, I'm trading in my XL so it will only be $100.
So, I have to say the graphics are really fantastic. I love how they seem to be adding some more character to a lot of things. For example, the path to the Southern Swamp feels a lot more like a dark forest, and they added deku statues to the Woodfall Temple. It's looking great!

Funny thing, its current gen. Nintendo just decided to make it 2x as powerful and add a stick. The transition is about as worth it compared to a DS Lite to a DSi.

very true, however something tells me that games are going to start getting noticeably larger and start requiring that extra processing power, so I'd rather upgrade sooner while it's a decent price and these games aren't out yet rather than waiting too longFunny thing, its current gen. I am so glad to hear that they're letting you use the Circle Pad Pro. I was not expecting that all. I refuse to play my 3DS XL without it, because the console just isn't comfortable to hold over extended periods of time without the CPP. Sadly it has no use for most games, but I'm glad to hear Nintendo finally made one move that makes sense. Smart and well thought out decisions is not something we often see from these guys. ![]()

Okay, this change I'm not so sure about.

I'm just fine with this change. The greater control sounds like a good thing, and it's not like they took the old swimming out. Chateau Romani grants infinite magic power anyway, and I usually start my days by nabbing some, so for me it just means they added a slow swim option in addition to the fast swimming I love. There was a certain degree of elegance in swimming without the shield and activating it only when enemies were near, but I can deal with that.

I don't know, it may be annoying in the first part before you can get the chateau romani milk, but really, I don't think I mind this change too much. If anything it will give me a better excuse to use the Chateau Romani milk that I never really needed or used in the original. I always felt it was a waste to have it when I didn't actually need to use it for anything outside of the Goron Races... magic is quite abundent in termina it seems.
Although... this must mean they changed the beaver race for the bottles. Hmm, I wonder how that will be affected. ![]()

You can't swim properly anymore without a constant wavering noise or your vision partially obfuscated by a wavey effect.
